Chose this place because reviews said it was good for families and we were dining with an almost 3-year-old. Their kids menu has a combination of Mexican plates and some traditional American kid menu items (chicken nuggets, burger, etc.). The adult menu was quite large and included a double-sided picture reference which actually encouraged both adults to try something we might not have otherwise. The place has booths around the walls and tables with chairs in the center of the room. The booth was nice for keeping the toddler in place. There were a few tvs on playing sports, but I didn't even notice them at first. They had several non-alcoholic beer choices available, and I ordered a frozen margarita. Our server (I believe their name was Aril) was awesome. He was great interacting with the toddler, helpful with our menu questions, and he was very friendly. The food and beverages were all wonderful. Main courses and guacamole were 5 stars, but I wish my rice had been seasoned more and the fried ice cream shell was very thin. I would return. We interacted with two other staff members who were also very friendly. They thanked us for coming and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA fantastic local, family run Mexican restaurant. This was my second visit and can confidently say itās an authentic and quality family-style Mexican restaurant.
Food was spectacular, I had the Asada Monterray, which came with came with bacon-wrapped prawns, sautĆ©d with veggies and covered in cheese (BOMB). Portions are legit and food comes out piping hot and fresh. Salsa is made in house and is delicious and definitely got a kick to it š¶ļø
Service has been great both times, waiters are personable and helpful in making decisions.
Next to the food, the atmosphere is what makes this place a 5 star. Itās a small, cozy vibe, but filled with life and color. It feels authentically Mexican, but fresh, clean, and modern. I appreciated the volume level of the music not being so loud you canāt talk to your dinner party.
Oh, and did I mention the drinks are š„ definitely recommend the cantarito!!!
Will be back for a third time and look forward to trying more of the delicious, and hard-to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I were in the mood for tacos and wanted to go somewhere new for them. I ordered a two taco combo and he decided on a chalupa and chili relleno combo. I expected authentic Mexican food but what was received could only be described as slightly better than taco bell. My taco shells looked/tasted store bought. My husband got the biggest chalupa in the world as a full sized flour tortilla, like the kind from the grocery store used for wraps, was fried and shaped like the letter L. It was too big/crispy to pick up and was very messy so had to be eaten with a fork/knife like a taco salad. He also received an enchilada instead of his original order.
The food tasted good for what it was but it wasn't what we expected. The staff was very kind and attentive in regards to keeping our waters filled. The food came out quickly and was...
