Pho Vietnam — Restaurant in Ewing Township

My daughter and I enjoyed dinner here this evening (3/15/25) after it only being open for about a week. If you need a quick summary: delicious and won't break the bank! Here's a more in depth breakdown. We ordered 4 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 specialty drinks. Everything was very good and came out promptly. The food was surprisingly light and despite the quantity we ate we never felt overly full, just pleasantly stuffed if that makes sense. Everything tasted like it was made in house which was nice! The calamari was so good as was everything else though, and plenty of sauces come either with each dish or are at the table for you to customize your meal to your liking. The restaurant clearly was not modeled as an Asian cuisine restaurant prior to this new place so the décor could use some work, but it's not bad and the booths and tables are very comfortable. The staff is definitely new and training and sometimes brought us another table's food or misinterpreted what we needed (like a box to go or more napkins) but you couldn't have asked for a friendlier group of people working there. This place is infested with ants and dirty. I was just trying to eat my pho, and I felt crawling ON me. I check my leg, and there’s an ant crawling on me. I thought that it was just a fluke, but then 2 minutes later, there’s another ant crawling on me. I check under the table and there’s a piece of food with an entire heap of ants eating whatever had dropped by the last person eating there. I attempted to just move tables, hoping that might help, but when I’m putting my bean sprouts into my pho, THERES AN ANT ON MY BEAN SPROUTS.

They gave me a new plate of bean sprouts but at that point my appetite is ruined. When I was going to pay my meal, I expected it to be comped because I hardly ate any because of the bugs crawling on me and my food. I paid full price, even left a $2 tip because that’s just the type of person that I am, and the person that I told about the ants looked at me smugly and asked “How was your meal” and I obviously replied disgusting because of bugs crawling on me. Food - ordered French Fries (they came unsalted which I prefer, and were cut shoestring style and fried perfectly, but serving size was small for sharing), Spring Rolls - Chicken (flavor was good but needed more meat), Chicken w/ Rice (which was awesome short grain Asian rice and a healthy serving of chicken, and Chicken w/ vermicelli (this was great but meat serving was lacking and what chicken was there, wasn’t cut well and chewy). Decently priced but overall, glad we ordered a few items to really see what was worth revisiting for. Side note: all the pho is made in a beef broth which is disclosed on their menu (I don’t eat beef so couldn’t try it).

Service - was good. Server came over almost immediately. Food came out as it was ready (yes, our food was not provided all at once so we picked & shared as we got what was ordered).
