I was lured in by false grandeur of a free milkshake with any fat sandwich order. I received my milkshake, thankfully enough, but that was the only part of my order that was relatively edible. The garlic knots I ordered more resembled garlic stones, as they were thoroughly toasted and burned so that they crunched with each bite. The sandwich I ordered, unbelievably so, was even more disappointing. The bacon was a sad substitute that I would more expectedly find on the lunch tray of a sad middle schooler. The chicken tenders were no longer than my finger, and was about as long as that tiny corn you find in chinese dishes. Between the majority of the sandwich being tasteless onions doused in a mediocre BBQ sauce, coupled with a thick, fake melted cheddar slime, and the enigma that was my inability to discern mozzarella stick from chicken tender, it was safe to say I did not finish the sandwich. I barely made it halfway through before I gave up, and offered it to any of my three roommates. Two of them were wise enough to decline, while one sacrificed his innocence in daring to take a bite of that wretched sandwich. He was silent for a few moments after the bite, then agreed with me that it was absolutely terrible. Sandwich: 2/10, Garlic Knots: 3/10, Free small milkshake: 7/10, Overall Score: 4/10
After I had left that review on their GrubHub, I received a call from Alforno's threatening to sue me. The owner had recently received a set of bad reviews on another one of his restaurants by someone with the same first name as me, and assumed that I was that person. I was informed that he felt I was personally attacking his businesses and that was his basis for legal action against me. I left a bad review, and in turn was threatened and harassed by unsubstantiated claims that Alforno's so easily could have figured out on their own. This is no way to treat a customer, regardless of their dining experience. They offered me a free meal in exchange for me removing my review, but I declined that offer as I want nothing that comes from them. It is safe to say that I will NEVER order again from Alforno's or any business owned and operated by the same owner, and will give fair warning to all my friends to do the...
Read moreThe delivery driver didn't feel like it was necessary to deliver the food to my door so she told me to cross the street in order to grab the food. After that I pleaded with her to deliver it to the door because it was past 3 am and I didn't have shoes and both my socks on but she refused. I eventually walked out partially barefoot in order to grab my order because I didn't want to disturb anyone in my household with additional noise. I felt that this was disrespectful because I tipped her and have supported their business many times in the past. I even gave tips for in store pick ups at times. The one time I counted on Rosa to make the extra effort/what they are paid to do they let me down. She had a adolescent child in the backseat that could have walked the food to me if she didn't want to. But I have a strong feeling that they didn't walk the order to me because I now live in Trenton or because they just didn't care. When I lived in the suburbs they always walked it directly to my door. So Rosa Pizza shame on you for treating me like this. I am a reasonable guy who has never left a review on any restaurant but you guys rubbed me the wrong way to the point where I had to call out your unfavorable delivery practice. I'm pretty sure that the the delivery driver was the owner's wife so I'm disappointed that someone with such a high stake in the business would treat a repeat customer like this.
I have worked in customer service positions so I know that I will get a lackluster response that doesn't really attack the problem, but you guys should try to at least reach out to those individuals that have been...
