Do NOT buy a car from this dealership, especially a Tesla! I purchased a 2020 Model X Performance from salesman Tony in December. I drove almost 4 hours from Maryland to New Jersey to purchase the vehicle after work and drove it home. Upon arrival (now dark/night and in the rain), I noticed a charge port error, and an autopilot error code. Tony assured me that I need to drive the car to reset the autopilot, and the charge port error was a technical glitch that wasn’t present before. It turns out, these were the least of my concerns. After making the long drive home, I notice that the car was very shaky at high speeds and was making clicking/rattling noises. Due to the concerning drive home, I woke up to inspect the car in the sunlight before work and notice that the glass roof panel is completely cracked/shattered, the rear taillight is filled with water, and that the error codes are all still present as the autopilot is not working. After taking the car to Tesla for service for my recently purchased car, they diagnosed a wide range of issues including (but unfortunately not limited to) charge port fault, charge door fault, 2 bent rims (beyond reasonable repair remedy), suspension issues (control arm fault), broken roof glass panel, and faulty autopilot B- Pillar cameras. These issues prevented me from initially passing MD state inspection and resulted in an initial estimate of $5,191.40. After weeks of going back and forth with Tony/J&S, I was told that the GM is only willing to cover $3,000.00 worth of the issues, due to J&S stating that the rims should be repaired not replaced. J&S is ignoring Tesla’s official diagnosis and estimate, which states the rims need to be replaced, and is remotely diagnosing the status of the rim condition. Months later, this Model X has still been in the shop numerous times (over 10 times, with receipts) due to ongoing issues. If this dealership truly cared for the customer (at all) and didn’t attempt to sell me a car with undisclosed physical damage/ mechanical issues, they would at least pay the full $5,191.40 for the necessary repairs, not renegotiate and re-haggle with a customer post-sale. I informed Tony multiple times in writing that I will not re-negotiate with J&S dealership regarding undisclosed vehicle damage post-sale. I informed this dealership numerous times that I would be unsatisfied if I am left with any post-sale bill for undisclosed damage repairs, and in result was faced with over $2,000 in repair invoices, within 30 days of ownership. I will certainly be speaking with my advisors,...
Read moreI purchased a 2018 Porsche Macon Turbo here roughly a month ago. This is certainly is my dream car and then employees here provided me with the best 40th birthday gift I could ever ask for.
I was actually in town for the weekend in NY visiting some of my best friends. I had been researching this vehicle over the past three years and recently had been more aggressive in my search over the past couple months. Once I saw this color combo of Palladium metallic (creamish/olive green) with a red intervior, I knew this vehicle would have to be mine!! Lol. This was the rarest, most beautiful color package I've seen in a Porsche or any vehicle I've owned. So.. I literally bought a one-way fleet and proceeded to take a nearly 2 hr Uber from Manhattan to Ewing Township. I spoke in advance with Rami on the phone who was super cool, laid-back, low-pressure and a consummate professional!!! We arranged a visit that day and scheduled an appt and test drive. Once I saw it I was already sold on it. The rest drive was simply the icing on the cakes. Two individuals literally came up to say "sir do you really like this one and are you interested and planning on test driving it? " lol .. This just further cemented my decision to purchase here. Rami was extremely busy and still took the time to make me feel at home and was extemely patient, methodical, and thorough.. He was able to knock 3gs off the price as well as the warranty package. The finance associate Elie, was equally as amazing. I was impressed that he was able to secure same-day financing after my bank was making me wait all the way until the following Monday. He got me instantaneous approval with 2.99% APR with Wells Fargo. Additionally, he secured me a comprehensive extended warranty for an extra 60k miles, as well as a tire/rim protection package. Lynn was awesome as well securing the title paper work and the VIN inspection along with 60-days worth of temp tags. They got me put the door in a couple hr and it was the most rewarding car purchasing experience I've had hands down!! And this was my 4th car purchased online through cars.com and the best service Ive received. Pretty cool pics below. I entered it into my 1st car show and won 1st place in the luxury class over the weekend. 😍 I owe it to you guys for offering such a rare, immaculate well-kept 1-owner trade-in. Thx again for everything and I'd recommend any friend, family, or...
Read more*Edit. I have found another problem with the car, this one involving the convertible top switch which is broken, requiring a nearly $1,200 repair. I said I would adjust based on if more problems showed up and more problems are. At this point, I do not recommend this place at all. Take your business elsewhere.
I can honestly say I'm torn about this place and what to rate them.
I came in looking for a car. They had what I was looking for. I took it for a test drive, noted some issues with the car and they agreed to fix them before the sale. My sales rep even managed to rush their mechanic and get it all ready a day early. My rep wasn't the most personable, but he was always responsive and answered all of my questions.
Now comes my issue though and it's a big one. I was 15 minutes from the dealership when the entire car started shaking and I received a fault for the drivetrain malfunctioning. I immediately called back, but my rep told me it was fine. They'd just calibrated the brakes so I probably just had to restart it. I was told that if the problem continued, I should just go to my local BMW and see if they could fix it. Presumably on their dime.
I went to BMW the next morning. The check engine light was on. They ran some tests and found aftermarket tuning to the engine which was not disclosed at the time of sale. I can understand missing that if the car was purchased at auction, but they also turned up a malfunctioning fuel injector infected with coolant. They said the issue was severe, which tells me J&S HAD to know about this issue beforehand. I don't know how it didn't come up in their pre-inspection, but intentionally selling someone a car with a major fault is unethical at best and illegal at worst.
The only reason I haven't rated them worse was the willingness to work with me. BMW replaced the part under an extended warranty for no cost as well which definitely helped, but it could have been much worse. Still waiting to hear on the aftermarket tuning though.
I will leave this review at 3 stars for now, but will adjust if any further issues come up. If none do and they get back to me about the tuning with a fix, I'll increase the rating as it shows willingness to at least own up to the issues with the car.
As of right now though, this place has left me with a sour taste...
