Avoid, avoid, avoid.
As a special treat, my 9 year old son and I were planning on having lunch at his school - he was very much looking forward to the day and wanted, of all things McDonalds.
Ok, fair enough.
30 mins before the lunch, I ordered from the app. It was easy to navigate. I placed said order, had my credit card charged and even had directions to the location provided to my phone. '
However, that's where things went awry. Long story short, despite bringing the phone from which the original order had been placed and fulfilling all of the requisite requirements (I had in fact ordered from different McDonalds on prior occasions with this very phone - with no issue), there was no order to be found.
The staff, who were very helpful in a tough situation, scrambled and tried to discern what happened. They initially thought (for reasons I will not detail in the interests of brevity) I did not bring the phone from which the order was placed. When I instantly produced it from my pocket, broken field running ensued. After said scramble, when no order could be located despite proof of receipt and original phone in hand, they offered to make the order for me.
Problem was it was too late. Time constraints were precisely why I used the app in the first place. I had missed the window. No lunch with my 9 year old.
Needless to say, we are done forever with Excelsior McDonalds. It was a fail. A suboptimal memory that I hope will never be inflicted upon anyone else in a similar situation. Thus, I am writing this review as a warning and I repeat: avoid, avoid, avoid. Proceed directly to the McDonalds in...
Read moreThe night shift manager was extremely rude to me because his cashier dropped my credit card in the donation box on a Saturday night & wouldn’t get it and the manager told me to wait until Monday after I told him I needed it not only to purchase our food but I was heading out of town the following Monday .. , so after being told there’s nothing he can do & continually to be dismissive towards and disrespected. My partner got upset. He told my partner he will call the police on him if he touched a donation box, and the whole situation escalated even higher all because the manager would not attempt to try to get my credit card out of the donation box I highly recommend not to go to this McDonald’s. Been treated as a criminal win the situation wasn’t your fault. Highly blows my mind. Oh don’t let me forget to add that my meal still purchased by us because the manager couldn’t even be courteous to Comp meal, or to apologize about the fact, gave me a cold chicken sandwich with one pickle & in a crumble up bag and told me to have a nice day once again we were treated like the worst people in...
Read moreMy bf has been sick the past two days and wanted something light to eat and decided to go through this Mcdonalds drive thru to get small fries and two six piece nuggets. He realized while driving they only had one of the six piece nuggets under apparently a LOTTT of napkins while fries were on the top in the bag. So he drives back to tell them hey you guys forgot the other six piece nugget (not mean remember not feeling well) and apparently the girl was SUPER rude like OH OK and shoved it towards him in a there ya go motion. Didnt even check the receipt so weird. And didnt even say sorry. It was a black girl with orange colored nails and he said he thinks shes either a manager or a supervisor. The man is SICK and wasnt being a jerk. Not even asking for much cut the attitude it WILL bite you in the butt. No one told you to work at McDonalds at least respect your fellow human being it's called customer service ever...
