Dunkin' — Restaurant in Exeter

If I could give a 0 to this place, I would. It doesn't deserve even one star. On 9/12/23 at 7:30 am, I was trying to get coffee on my way to work. I was pressed for time, so I thought that I should just run in and grab a coffee because the drive through line is usually long and moves slowly. When I tried to open the door, it was locked. No sign, no information about why the place was not allowing customers inside. (There was a lady in her car who told me that she had ordered online and was not allowed to get her order in person, and that this was the second day this had happened to her. This lady drove away without getting her coffee.) Although the drive through line was long, I promised my co-worker that I would get coffee for us, so I got in line and waited for my turn. Needless to say, the line went very slowly. When I got to the microphone, I asked the clerk why the building was not open. The person ignored my question and remained silent. I thought that he could not hear me, therefore I had asked the question again. At this point, he got belligerent and ordered me to evict the premise, otherwise, he said "I will call the police for harassment". When I asked him if he was serious, and told him that I was going to report him, he raised his voice even more and threatened me again with the police. At this point, I had no choice but to leave. What kind of business treats a customer like this?!?! First of all, it is listed as a dine-in place. Second, it did not have a sign up alerting customers that they would not be able to enter the building. (Customers are ordering on-line and they are unable to pick up their orders.) Third and most importantly, when a customer asks a legitimate question, instead of explaining the reason, how is it allowed that a service worker yells, becomes belligerent and threatens to call the police. If I were not pressed on time, indeed I would have welcomed the police's presence and would've liked to report this incident. I am looking into how to make a formal complaint to the manager, owner, the main company and the better business bureau. I am not sure which route to go and would love some guidance with that. Also, I am not sure why this place is a drive though now, but sadly I will never go there again and will advise everyone I know to avoid...

check this out: one August night recently, it's about 4pm, I roll thru exeter dd drive thru. I'm with my girl friend and we are on our way to East Providence to say goodbye to a deceased family member. Both of us worked hard all day at our jobs and there was little time for showers and changing clothes let alone snack and drink. The speaker blurted out what can I get for you? Well I'd like a wake up wrap hash browns- he cuts me off. Sorry the sandwich station is down. Ok.... how bout donut frys? He says, actually we have no food. 🙃oookk... well let's just skip to the coffee then, I'd like a cold brew, pumpkin swirl - speaker blurts: outta cold brew. OMG. Ok, just a reg iced. My gf wants a LG macchiato caramel 2 sug-- [sorry the espresso machine is also not working]... I drive calmly away. True story. This place for real? And also had numerous bad experiences before this. I guess what can you expect anyhow? The dunkin sign that sits facing route 3 was blown down during a storm in March of 2018 and has not been fixed since! (Maybe they really don't want the business) idk. Either way, dunkin on rt3, you suck....

This doesn’t deserve any stars, absolutely the worst service ever, I never been to a Dunkin that doesn’t care like this one!!! Not sure if this girl is the manager ( the big girl) or she tries to act like one, her attitude is unacceptable!!! I go in there she’s either sitting , or complaining… and yesterday I put my order in she doesn’t finish it, right back to writing or whatever she was doing, I stood there for 5 minutes before I had to say something, she constantly does this, if she doesn’t like it there find another place to work that might put up with you!!! Another day I was there while I’m waiting for my order this other girl on phone texting!!! I can’t believe this store is even open!!! I keep saying I will never go here again, after yesterday and listening from the back talk from the 2 there, I’m done!!! America runs on Dunkin??
