As this was my first time at Pizza Loven, I had to try what they are famous for; They're PIZZA. I selected the White Pizza with Fresh Tomato and Garlic and let me tell you, if you're looking for that home cookin' family atmosphere this is the place and pizza for you. The pizza was served in a 7 cut half tray and brought to my table hot and cheesy. The crust was baked very well, golden and crispy. It reminded me of garlic bread sticks. Yum! I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth and of course had to take a box home so I had leftovers for the next day- but they didn't last that long. As I am not typically a fan my pizza being served in cuts, I have to say this one was a goodie. Id definitely order this tray again with some ice cold beer to wash it down!
As I am ALWAYS a fan on Banana Peppers on my Pizza and just as a snack, I was excited to see these as an appetizer on their menu. I have never seen fried banana peppers anywhere and gave them a shot. Of course I enjoyed them. They need to be eaten hot and fresh because like all Fried Foods these babies need to be eaten hot and fresh so dig in as soon as they bring them to your table!
Basket of French Fries- Made to Order Smothered in Cole Slaw,Hot Sauce, and Spices- Perfect for a quick snack or a meal.
Pizza L'oven is in my opinion the best place to get that family style, home cookin', environment in NEPA. Head on down to...
Read moreWhere to start... I'm a foodie and a pizza connoisseur from Northern New York State. I recently learned about Pan Fried Sicilian Pizza and was intrigued to say the least. I was told by a guy named Jim who has a Facebook page called NEPA Pizza Review that this was his favorite place to get Pan Fried Sicilian Pizza. So I decided I needed to make a trip. I am sooo grateful I did! This place is awesome! Everything about it... the service was some of the best I've ever received at any restaurant in my life and I'm 38, the place was very comfortable and clean, and THE PIZZA!!! WOW!!! This pizza blew me away!!! It's right up there with Detroit Style and Chicago Style for me but with way less notoriety. This pizza is in a class of it's own and I will be forever craving it. Thanks again Pizza L'Oven for an incredible and memorable visit!
P.S. Don't forget the Garlic Powder or the Birch Beer. It's all apart of the ...
Read moreAlthough the food was good, it wasn't good enough to wait 45 minutes for on a Wednesday night and Thursday night when it was not extremely busy. I am a former server, pretty understanding, usually telling those I'm with to give the benefit of the doubt and rarely write reviews...but... I have to share my experiences. The Wednesday we were there for 7 cuts of pizza it took 45 minutes, pierogies took 40 minutes and mini tacos took 30 minutes. The server was rarely at our table. The Thursday a few weeks before it was 40 minutes for our pizza and again server was nowhere to be found. I was willing to give it a 3rd try and tried to call ahead to order my food so we wouldn't have to wait so long, but she put me on hold 3 times to try to get someone in the dining room. There are so many other pizza places that are just as good, that have the experienced staff or enough of a staff to handle...
