I visited J Y Bamboo Restaurant with a friend back in May 2025, and overall, we had a good experience. The restaurant is located right on N Broad St in Fairborn, and it gives off a cozy, welcoming vibe. I believe it’s family-owned, or at least it feels that way because the staff was extremely kind, attentive, and friendly throughout our visit. The restaurant was very clean, and that’s always something I look for and appreciate when trying a new place. We were seated quickly, and the service was fast, which made it a convenient stop for a lunch outing. As for the food, everything I tried was delicious, though I can’t remember every single item I ordered. What stood out the most was the quality of their dishes—everything tasted fresh, and the textures were on point. Their crab rangoon was especially tasty: perfectly crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I also ordered some sushi, and it was well-prepared with a nice presentation and great taste. One thing I wasn’t a big fan of was the soup. Since I don’t eat pork or beef, my options were limited, and I didn’t enjoy the one I tried. That said, my friend really enjoyed their soup, so I’d say it just comes down to personal preference and dietary restrictions. They also had crispy, refreshing drinks, which added to the overall dining experience. While J Y Bamboo might not be my absolute first choice for a lunch spot, I’m glad I gave it a try. I’d definitely consider going back, especially for the sushi and crab rangoon. It’s a solid local option with good food, fast service, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Ok. I've desperately tried to like this place. In terms of selection they outweigh most asian delivery joints. But now I'm fed up and believe the people deserve some disclaimers. First of all they will charge you tip ahead of time for card order and they WILL NOT give any kind of adequate notice. They will knock ONCE and literally RUN back to their car. I've had SEVERAL ice cold orders because of a cheap A knock. But my PRIMARY warning is DO NOT ORDER THE UNAGI DON! After throwing up my first bite, my roommate was also able to confirm the unfresh wet dog taste. We know for a fact this company reheats food; that it's not always fresh. But this is sickening.i called and the lady was very nice, then she puts who I assume is her superior on who picks up the phone with a, "what?" I tried to tell them how funky their eel taste and that I've had their eel before and often; he assures me it's fresh and suddenly losing his ability to speak coherently. The worse part is I should have known. In the past when I complained the language barrier has made communicating anything other than my credit card number impossible! Will be freezing this dish just in case I have to contact poison control. Based on the customer service SOLELY. they completely lost my business.

Made a return trip specifically for the sushi. Ordered the Rainbow roll and the Ocean roll. Both were great and worth a try. The freshness was evident in the taste and the Rainbow roll was consistent and just as good as the first time I ordered one a week ago. The Ocean was topped with a crab salad while maintaining a very light texture making it a pleasure to eat. Yes, I ordered the crab Rangoon for a second time. We received our order piping hot, just out of the fryer in a perfectly golden brown. The flavor was consistent with the first time I ordered the appetizer a week ago. The establishment has many different Asian offerings to select from. I will return to try some of those dishes.

I placed a delivery order over an hour ago, missed a call from their phone number and called back shortly after receiving the call. I was assured everything was fine with my order when I called back. I just got off the phone with someone that told me his name was Jim (who continuously talked over me and actually hung up on me) who told me they do not deliver to Beavercreek. He never once apologized for not leaving a message or for the misinformation I was given earlier. He just said the lady I spoke to was part-time, apparently that means that it’s okay I was lied to and that my order was never delivered. I was told after explaining how I felt this was unprofessional that they’ll go ahead and issue a refund. They hadn’t even issued a refund for my order that they canceled and lied to me about before this point! Had they left me a message or told me the truth earlier, I would have happily picked up my order. Instead, my partner will have to get his birthday dinner from somewhere else now that it’s late enough that most places aren’t taking orders. Jim is absolutely rude and should not be in customer service. We’ve ordered from this place several times and usually do pick-up without problems. I would not recommend patronizing a place that believes this behavior and this man’s attitude is acceptable. The food is great, but there’s a lot of great food in the area with much better...
