I love this place—one of my top five places to eat! Used to be a weekly regular years ago and I still remember the taste 4+ years later. My order is always the chicken kabob thigh (K2) and eggplant side. Sometimes I get the chickpeas too. K2: The dark meat is tender and easy to cut into—very flavorful. The rice is mild, fragrant, and tasty to eat on its own. The mildness of the rice complements the chicken well. My favorite part is mixing the rice with the oil—it’s like a salty little flavor bomb. Comes with a little salad too. Not pictured: two sauces to dip your chicken in that I can’t find at other kabob places. Eggplant: The eggplant and veggies are so soft. I love the taste of the oil. It is addicting! Pairs well with the chicken and/or salt. I love ordering extras to eat at home. Chickpeas: Another good one! The chickpeas are soft in a soup-like sauce. Again, another flavor that pairs well with the saltiness of the main dishes. Truly, no other kabob place can compare. The side dishes, especially, are on their own level. The owners are great and friendly to chat with too. You can tell they care about their customers. Though I can’t visit as often, I always hope that they’re well and am happy to see their restaurant survive the pandemic.

My new favorite kabob restaurant is KABOB CORNER and I'm picky, not only about the food but how I am treated by the owner and how neat and clean the place is kept and Kabob Corner checks all the boxes--spotless! I have eaten here twice in two weeks and the food is consistently great and the owner even offered me a complimentary bowl of his scratch made soup that was delicious what a nice treat. The owner is a very nice and kind man who really treats his customers well and is very polite, he really appreciates your business and it really does show. Now on to the main event--the Food! I ordered the chicken kabob both times once with a side of chick peas and the other time with spinach both were very tasty hard to choose can't go wrong either way, the chicken was grilled perfectly both times not dry or overcooked and seasoned just right and the bread is a meal in itself! I'm so glad I finally stopped in (I drive by it daily) now it will definitely be in my weekly lunch rotation.

I wanted something different, and this place gave my taste buds a fabulous treat. After asking the friendly counter-jockey about favorites, we ordered the K2 (Chicken) and K5 (Lamb) plates with chickpea and eggplant sides. Our server got us started with a small portion of soup while we waited for the other items to be prepared fresh. After about 10 minutes max the plates were ready - large chunks of meat and two kinds of rice, sides, a small salad, and a generous portion of bread. Our host suggested putting the eggplant mixture on the bread and drizzling it with the white sauce, which I'm assuming was a yogurt base. Delicious! The sauces were all provided on the side so you can experiment. The green chutney has some kick, and amped up the meats, though they tasted great with or without it. We stuffed ourselves and left with boxes for a second round tomorrow. Forget burgers and pizza and treat yourself to something far more interesting!

When they first opened, they were amazing. As time passed into one year of them being here, they made changes that resulted in lower quality food - you could taste when the rice was a bit old, or the chicken not marinated long enough. Prices have gone up steadily, but like to skimp on chutney sauces or paprika. Their appetizers could use larger portions for the money you pay (the samosas are an example of this). The chicken breast tends to be cooked dry and the bread overdone, so ask to have them moist, or bread fluffy, in order to get something edible, and less something crispy. Most of the clerks here oblige to customer specialty orders and requests, but if the clerk can't speak colloquial English, make sure to state your point. Nevertheless, still the best spot in the Fairfax, VA area. Go to Crystal City if you're looking for top-of-the-line kabob, namely Kabob Palace.

Under new management! Chicken thighs were cooked to perfection, and the increased quality of the salad has made the meal, overall, much more fulfilling!

Chicken and rice portions are HUGE - much more & much better than with the old management (older management stopped caring a couple of years in, and once we saw that we stopped going as often); rice, unfortunately was made earlier that day and was not fresh (it got cold fast). Spinach side was frozen spinach, which isnt the best. Bread was tasty and fluffy, perfectly cooked! The new owners care, and I pray that three years down the line they don't follow suit of the old management!

I look forward to their steady improvements; namely, cleanliness. I'll be happy once I don't have to shoo away a fly, and once I can come in and not have to wait for a clean booth (granted, some people are super messy and disgusting).

Will be back in several weeks for...

We were introduced to this place by an American family of Afghan extraction who recommended this restaurant (the Fairfax location on Main Street).

Love, love the fish kabob! It's mahi-mahi and well seasoned. The meal has rice, salad, bread and one side included. My son always gets the lamb wrap and fries and it is excellent. From the sides, we like the spinach (a bit spicy) and the meatballs. The eggplant is very good but, not surprisingly, it is a little oily as in order to get it to cook down, with such a high-water content, eggplant often has salt and oil added. It is very tasty.

We've been going now for a couple of years and have eaten both in and carried out. For dine-in, it is not a white-cloth-napkin restaurant but it is clean and well maintained.

The one suggestion I have is that we had a major mix-up when I ordered using the on-line tool. I completed the online form showing that I would pick up at 5:30 p.m. but they misunderstood and thought it was immediate (at 2 p.m.). When I arrived, they explained the mix-up (they had disposed of my original order) and prepared my order from scratch. It was fine, I didn't have to wait long but likely the on-line ordering process could be refined.

As far as the staff - I always find to get a smile, give a smile. I've chatted with nearly all the staff at one time or another and find them to be genuinely conscientious and always courteous. In fact, I'm going there tonight...

Placed an order online, came in about 25-30 minutes later even tho website says 15 minutes because I’ve worked in restaurant management for almost 5 years and understand the business. When I arrived I stated that I placed an order and while they were trying to find my order I stepped to the side for another man to pay. The one guy with glasses and hair to his shoulders eyes lit up when he saw the computer screen and a couple seconds later he asked if I placed my order online, which I replied yes I did. You could see from his facial expression he knew that they messed up. In a nervous response the guy lied to me and said “ I’ve never seen this before, your order just popped up” After working in the industry for many years the correct response should have been something like “ I’m sorry sir, we did not see your order, I will get it out for you as soon as possible and we apologize for our mistake. I would of waited patiently and understood the mistake because we are all human, but one thing I can’t stand is a dishonest individual. The man clearly lied and his face told the story. If they can lie to your face, god knows what goes on behind the counter. Very disappointed and will not be returning and will spread the word for our whole local neighborhood to avoid giving business to stores...
