Ines Place Restaurant — Restaurant in Fairfax

I love inez place i have been coming in for years their food is soo delicious. However today they really upset me. I went with a friend and at the end my friend asked me to see how much her portion was and as i reviewed the bill i saw the prices were different then the whats on the menu. I went up to my waiter and asked her why that was and she then told me that the prices went up and i told her well thats not what the menu says and thats false advertising and they could get introuble for that. The waitress then proceeded in telling me that they are waiting for their new menus that reflect the new prices and i told her that in that case they should be charging the menu prices until the new menu comes or atleast make the customer aware prior yo ordering about the price difference. I asked her if we could speak to inez or if anything could be done and she proceeded to tell me she just working there its not her problem its out of her control and i told her that as a paying customer its not ny problem either. We are being lied to about the prices and we arent atleast being made aware of it. She then changed the story and said well thats the price with tax and i called her out on the lie because there was taxes charged at the end of the bill. She then went back to her prior excuse that the prices went up and they havent received their new menus yet and she showed me on the menu how they have to use labels to write the new price in marker and i told her then until they get the new menu they should do that on all the menu items because its only done on a few items. At the end nothing was done for me i had no choice but to pay and i left. Sure enough i didnt leave a tip because that is wrong. Please pay attention to the receipt and make sure they arent over charging you. It seems they have been doing this in the past with...

I love Mexican food, and this is some of the best I've ever eaten. There are some gems on the menu, and if you know what you're doing, you can get an amazing lunch well for under $10 Updated review: I last left a review about 7 years ago, back then this place was amazing, the food was awesome and the prices were good. We even got lunch from here to feed our guests during our small COVID wedding, that's how much we loved this place. We even went here for our first date! Went there today to have breakfast, and carried in a closed bottle 24 oz of Diet Coke because they do not serve it. Sat down and the server gave me a look and then looked at my Diet Coke and pointed to the sign on the door that said "no outside food or drinks". Now, I completely understand that establishments don't want tons of people bringing in food for their kids from other places, etc., but a bottle of Diet Coke because you don't serve diet drinks? Seriously? I have visited this place several times in just the last month and the food is excellent, not to mention the last time I came there, I dropped a $12+ tip on a $17 tab and always have tipped WAY above the requisite amount.

So, when I asked the server if she was willing to lose a $20+ sale over a single bottle of Diet Coke, she shrugged and smiled. Not coming...
