Monsoon Burger — Restaurant in Fairfield

I absolutely love this place I've only had it twice now but in both times orders were to go. They don't have a military discount but that's totally fine. They're gourmet burgers are kind of on the pricey side but it's worth it I get the monsoon burger with extra mushrooms and let me tell you that's one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. My fiance has gotten the bacon cheeseburger and the western burger he likes the western burger a little bit more than the bacon cheeseburger though, he considers both to be mouth wateringly amazing. The garlic fries leave a little to be desired I don't mean to bash them but it's basically just like some garlicwith some powdered garlic sprinkled on top of the fries. I honestly prefer the curly fries or even the regular fries are BOMBTASTIC! I have been wanting to eat here for a while now and have to say so glad I finally took the plunge and tried the out! The restaurant is always clean and tide when I come in, staff always looking and acting friendly! And they have a topping bar so if you are getting your food to go you can still get all of your favorite toppings right there before you leave. I'm not usually the guy to spend $12 on a burger, but I'd do it again here in a heartbeat. The 8oz patty was almost the thickness of my index finger, cooked just as requested (yes, they actually ask!) and had a flavor reminiscent of grass-fed beef.

The barbecue burger I ordered came with Bleu cheese, bacon and an onion ring. All of these extras were fresh, flavorful and of high quality. The bacon was far crisper than usually found on a burger, and while I was at first a bit disappointed, it turns out this makes it much easier to consume their delicious monstrosity.

This place is comparable to Burger Fi and Habit as far as ambiance and style. Both of those charge perhaps a dollar or two less per burger. Monsoon easily takes the prize though: their beef tastes far and away superior to the other two places, and the yuppies and touristas haven't found it yet. I am officially a convert.

Finally, THE BEST garlic fries I've ever had, hands down, save perhaps one of those random fry stands at the Gilroy Garlic Festival. I'm not exactly sure why they're so damn good, but don't take my word for it. Go order some. You need this...

This is the burger joint I have been looking for in Fairfield!! My dark mistress when In and Out ain't lookin'. Ok, for real now. I popped in here on my way home on a whim. Saw this place had a decent rating, decided to grab the bacon and mushroom burger, side of Onion rings, and chocolate shake. The burger is cooked to your liking, medium rare be my huckleberry. And my burger was cooked to pink juicy perfection. They did not skimp on the bacon, which fits right in my "no self respect" lifestyle. Shrooms were sauteed to perfection, and the cheddar cheese was the glue holding all of this madness together. They have a condiment table flowing with Red onion, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, jalapenos.....I could hardly close the lid on this motha'! The rings were deep fried to perfection, threw one on my burger just cause! And the shake was blended to chocolate perfection. Not too runny, but not thick to the point where I'm looking to patch a leak in my tire with it. Super glad I checked out this haunt. I recommend this place highly to those craving a burger...
