Well, well, well I'm finally writing a review although i've been here at least 15+ times. This place at lunch is like a deserted truck stop, no one is every there.
I always eat there because I love asian food and their is not many good Chinese food options in Fairfield.
The staff is mostly friendly but strange. They seem like they wish they had the day off.
The food was packed with so much MSG I feel so SALTY when I leave. The last lunch was a few days ago and we always have to order two orders of the Beef Hong Kong Style chow mien because their portions are so small it can only feed two adults if that. Most other restaurants have a generous portion since its only a noodle dish. When I order from here its mostly veggies and a little noodles and meat. They forget we are in America. LOL
I ordered pork fried rice and the meat was very light in color and no flavor at all its scary to eat. We just left it on the plate. The rice was bland with nothing vibrant to awaken the plate.
The Salt N Pepper shrimp is usually good but too salty and the chow mien is just alright but could be better. When this place has 3 customers and they rush your order it really seems undercooked and cooked with no love.
I suggest they really focus on the quality to keep the few customer they have. I'm...
Read moreNice, clean, spacious, modern Resturant with an industrial feel. It’s pretty in a minimalist way, which I liked. There is also a bar . A note says they have a banquet room you can rent. We were seated by and order taken by a nice server. The owners are pleasant and the wife made sure to greet us. The husband, who appears to also be the chef, didn’t……he was busy smoozing with some customers 3 tables down from us. He stood there for 15 minutes talking loudly to them. Finally one of the young cooks and another person. came from the kitchen and told him they really needed him in the back. He quickly went to the kitchen. 5 minutes later our food came out, but total time to get our food after we ordered it was 25 minutes and it arrived to our table one entree at a time. My husband’s arrives 3 minutes after my sisters, and mine arrived 5 minutes after my sisters. BUT, all of our food was hot, fresh and very tasty. The spring rolls were crispy and delish. . My sister said the pot stickers are ok. As we left, both owners were sitting at the bar, doing paper work but both said thank you with smiles and waved to us. We will go back. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to the wait time to get our food and the owner chatting with customers at length, which held...
Read moreThe food in this photo cost nearly $50... and we can't even eat most of it. Sweet & Sour chicken is drenched in sticky sweet flavorless pink goo and the goo drenched chicken is super gamey. Broccoli beef is mostly broccoli, flavorless, but what meat there is, is tender. This dish is actually edible-ish. Yay. Kung Pao chicken is almost unrecognizable. It's the tiny cube filled "dish" at the bottom. Strong flavor but not a good one. I'm not sure why but the smell is like urine. Any rice is an extra order. Just no, no, no, on all counts. Spring rolls we ordered were well cooked, tender, crispy, not tasty but not bad. The typical sweet sauce was more like a sweet tasteless thick jelly...tossed it. Complete waste of money and we still don't have...
