STAY ANYWHERE ELSE... PLEASE. If there was a zero star rating, I would choose that!!!
this hotel is dishonest and unethical. My elderly in-laws were left stranded in Buffalo, TX after their power went out during the winter freeze in TX on Feb 15th. My wife quickly found the first hotel available on Hotels.com and booked a room at the Fairfield Days Inn. After making the treacherous drive on icy roads to get to the hotel, the lights were off and they were closed. They made the difficult drive back to Buffalo and ended up staying at someone's house.
As of Feb 21st, we had spoken with Hotels.com personally several time and have attempted to contact the Hotel over 10 times with no response. Hotels.com then denied our claim to a refund stating that they were unable to reach the hotel to confirm they were closed and stated they could not refund our money since WE cancelled within the non-refundable 24 hour cancellation window. Hotels.com refuses to refund us until they get confirmation from the hotel that they were closed.
On Feb 22nd, someone finally answered the phone at the Hotel. I explained what happened and the guy at the front desk literally HUNG UP on us when we asked him to verify our reservation and asked for a refund since they were closed. Now they wont answer the phone. Thankfully, Capital One is now involved and the disputed charges department is helping us...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!! If you are trying to stay in a SAFE place where you need to make sure they do not give out your information due to safety concerns, this is NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU! I specifically asked the man at the front desk that if anyone called to simply say there was no guest by that name. Instead, he transferred the call to my room. So I called him once again, and he was obviously annoyed and said "Alright". Yet later that evening I find out he told the person that was trying to find me, "She's here, but she doesn't want to be bothered". So AGAIN, confirmed I was still there!!! I loaded up my car at almost 10pm at night and had to pay for ANOTHER HOTEL for the same night just to get away from that place thanks to him. When I had called the front desk he said, "What is the problem? We don't need your kind of people problems here" His voice was just dripping with disgust and rudeness. The ONLY person you are legally responsible for giving a guests information to is the police. Domestic Violence people.... beware of this hotel. This man could care less about the safety and well being of it's guests!!! And that was my go-to hotel and have spent MANY nights there previously until this man ruined...
