Country Club Bakery — Restaurant in Fairmont

I ordered a blackberry pie one week ago to be picked up today for a Christmas party. I went in today to pick it up and the lady could not find it. She texted the owner and he told her that they have sold it apparently and they had no more. I was advised that I could purchase something else, but I thought it was very obvious that I'm sure they would sell me something else. But also at that point I was afraid to take another pie or anything else they had, as I did not want to possibly be taking anybody else's order just to make a sale. I did not blame the woman working there, she really was trying to help me, and told me that it should not have been sold as I was on the list to pick it up today. But this close to Christmas I have no other options to get one made somewhere else. When an establishment doesn't care, it shows. And that was probably the worst part when it came to the owner. Struck gold! I was reading an article about popular sandwiches from each state in the Country. West Virginia's state sandwich is the pepperoni roll. Invented by an Italian immigrant coal miner who decided to put his pepperoni IN his roll before baking to make it easier to take for his daily lunch. The idea caught on and before he knew it, he started a bakery in Fairmont, WV and was out of the mines. I ordered a dozen rolls. Made fresh on Monday and shipped immediately. For atmosphere you have to know the history of the bakery it was built long ago, it's clean, it's not designed for you to sit and relax, you go in.. you order or pick up.. you're quickly given your order and then you get out.. it's not spacious almost intimate but friendly!. We were in to get freshly baked pepperoni rolls in a 12 pack they're made every hour they're outstanding if you want to accompany your purchase with sauces those are available for purchase as well and if you think you might want a cream puff oh my or a cookie oh my oh my you might want to try those as well..
