I am sad to leave this review. I love supporting smaller stores and things that help keep the community strong. However, we have come to this store over 50 times in the last 3 months while renovating our house. There were many times that the staff wasn’t overly helpful- but we came and got what was needed. However - this week was my last straw and I am now willing to drive an additional 30 min (1 hour round trip) to not continue to support/ use this business. This week they were out of crown molding - and we didn’t want to shift mid project so I asked to please either order or to let me know the next truck. They said it would be Thursday or Friday but to call before. I called today and stayed on hold for a long time....but I was ok with that because I had asked if she could verify that it was there (computer said 16 in stock). After being on hold they came back (different person) and assured me they were there. I asked again- I know the computer shows it but the other person was going to make sure it had come in - I’ll keep holding until she gets back. The person said there was no needand that she was answering for her that there were intact 16z I asked if she could hold 8 for me and that I would be there in an hour. She said she couldn’t but assured it would be fine. So obviously.. when we got there- there was none. I asked the men that were in sales and their response was “can’t help what comes in On the truck” I explained the full exchange and he said “nothing I can do about it - I tell the girls all the time to verify”. I explained that I did in fact verify and he said “well there is the pallet that came in - you can look and see” ... I went on to explain that I was upset because it wasn’t an error of “on the truck” that I was upset about. He just shrugged then said - we would have called you back but we didn’t have your number. (Then I was really confused because that meant he had already known of the issue) so I asked “them did you order any oraee if there was a solution or at least an answer of when I can get it? He said “no- guess we can try if you want or just call the next time a truck comes in” ....I then asked if I could please speak to the manager and he smirked and said “yep that’s me” so then I asked if I could talk to the regional manager or the owner and he laughed and said “sure you can try”.... so. Read moreAbsolutely the worst service I have ever had in a store. First, I waited over 10 minutes in the lumber dept. for assistance, finally I walked up to the front of the store and asked for help at the register, explaining EXACTLY what I needed. She said she would get someone. The first associate that walked by she asked to assist me and his response was "No, I'm on break." So she called over the intercom for assistance. And I waited, and waited. After about another 8 to 10 mins or so, the same associate who was on break walked back by. She asked him if he was ready to help me. He said, "Wait I gotta clock back in." So, again I waited while he took his time to go clock in. Then instead of walking back up to assist me, he waved for me to come all the way down the length of the store to him. I explained that I needed a 6" x 6" board. His exact response was "I ain't got it". I said, "you don't cut boards to size?" He said "Nope". So, I expressed my displeasure at how unbelievable they were for making me waste so much time. I walked back up to the register where the lady I had spoken with was and she said "Did he take care of you?" I responded "No, evidently at a hardware store, they don't have power tools to cut a board". She looked both surprised and annoyed at the associate who I dealt with which leads me to believe, somebody was being a lazy, worthless employee. Not a good idea when you're still a fairly new...
Read moreOrdered window replacement panel in August. After weeks of calling for updates finally got a delivery of 10/14. Called 10/15 to see if it had arrived and I was told the manager was out and they couldn’t tell me, they went on to say manager wouldn’t be back in until Monday. I asked if there was anyone else that could help me and they said no. I asked if they could call someone since it is supposed to be lows in the 40s and still no. So I said basically I’m SOL and the response was yea I guess so. The reason I gave them 2 stars was because I didn’t have to deal with this on the original order of the windows. That’s another story - ordered new construction windows and they put it in as replacement windows. They did make it right but was a delay for sure. Very irritating that no one can just tell you if an item you ordered and have been waiting on for 7 weeks is in so you can pick it up. Also got all my toilets, fixtures, T1-11 and several other items from them trying to support a local business. I’m sad to say will be going elsewhere going forward. Not that one person matters to them but did by several trailer loads of stuff off them since they have opened. * ordering process was great - follow up service and ease of getting items is very subpar.
