Atmosphere-4 stars- located in Marion Square in Fairmont WV this restaurant has beautiful booths and chairs. Nice wood carvings on both seating options. Clean and inviting.
Service- 3 stars- was very busy and not enough staff. Usually when eating at a Mexican restaurant the service and food are presented fast. We got our chips and salsa pretty quick but then everything slowed down. The waiter was very friendly and it took awhile to get our food and took even longer to get our check. After we finished our food we sat for another 15 minutes with no server in site so I had to go to the bar to get my check so we could leave.
Food- 3 stars- not bad but nothing to brag about either. We got chicken fajitas and we got very little chicken compared to the pile of onions and peppers. Rice and beans were just ok. Like I said to start food isnt horrible but there are a lot of other Mexican restaurants in the area with much...
Read moreI have been eating here almost weekly since they opened. They were initially very impressive and I had them at 5 stars. Much like other reviews my review was largely helped by their unique taco toppings bar. It really set them apart from the other two Mexican restaurants we have. They’ve since removed that and even when you order to go it’s like pulling teeth to get some toppings. They now charge for certain common toppings. They’ve since removed that. food is still pretty good but the atmosphere feels less welcoming without the bar. They’re pretty much just any other Mexican place now but a little slower. I overlooked that before because the taco bar made up for it but now it’s just an OK place to eat. If you’re closer here than the other two (Mi Pueblo and el ray) then come here but it’s not quite worth going out your...
Read moreStamped out Americanized Mexican food leaning on cheese to distract you from the fact it's hardly seasoned. I've had much better at even run down food trucks and gas stations in Hispanic parts of the USA. The atmosphere is nice, but they could really use some simple maintenance. Paint peeling off the walls, and the menus were heavily stained and torn. They still have Japanese decorations on the wall from the previous tenant of the building. Portions were plenty large, but no where near the amount you get at other Mexican restaurants for the same price point. 3/5...
