My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day and I have to say this is the best restaurant I’ve ever dined at. The hype is absolutely justified. Everything is perfection, from the cocktails to every detail and flavor on each plate. The concept is small shareable plates, so we got 6 different items to try. We ordered it all at once and they brought it out a few at a time so that the flavors progressed throughout the meal. We tried ricotta gnudi, sausage & grapes, shrimp pozole, seared scallops, stuffed dates, and the wagyu steak special. Everything was so unique & flavorful, unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. My personal top 3 were the wagyu, ricotta gnudi, and the stuffed dates. Everything was cooked perfectly, had many different layers of flavor, and had a great variety of different options to try, whether it be meat, seafood, sides, or sweets. My mouth is still watering just thinking about that food. The cocktails also are next level amazing. Forget about a simple little 2-3 ingredient drink. This is a true mixology bar with 6-8 ingredient drinks. The attention to detail by the staff is awesome and again, the flavors are so complex and unlike anything I’ve ever had. We tried the pomp mule, girl put in work, slow burn, and stargazer. The drinks are neither sweet nor too strong of alcohol, perfectly balanced to sip throughout the meal. It is a tiny restaurant, I’m talking maybe half a dozen tables and a dozen or so bar stools. We sat at the bar, and although it may seemed cramped at first, I thought the seats were well-spaced and we still had plenty of room to spread out our plates. The staff offers to hang up your coat for you and are ao incredibly accommodating to make sure you’re comfortable. They’re always refilling your water and even will give you fresh plates and silverware in between courses. They explain the best way to taste the food on each dish in order to enjoy the flavors to the fullest. It is definitely pricey, we spent about $200 between the two of us plus an additional tip. But you’re not getting just a meal, you’re getting a whole experience, and that is well worth it to me. I am so happy that a restaurant like this exists not too far away from me and I’m already wanting to go back. The overwhelming amount of 5 star reviews speak...
Read moreAbsolutely 100% disappointed. Terrible experience, our FIRST TIME THERE. Went here in December with my fiancee and a few friends. First time trying it out, under the new name (first time in years). Our bartender was a male and was extremely rude from the moment we sat down. He started off by making a rude comment to my friend. She asked about a beer and he returned with a sny remark about looking at the menu. Then we were all conversing about all the bars that we had been to throughout the night (this was our 7TH bar that night). I had made a comment about one of the previous bars having a snooty bartender and rude customers, and the bartender here (the male mentioned above) took it upon himself to assume that I was speaking about him. He made a big scene behind the bar by throwing his hands in the air and SHOUTING, "Did you hear that?! Snooty bartenders!!" And then stormed out the back door. First of all...if your going to eavesdrop...you should listen to the ENTIRE conversation. Secondly...if you are working at a bar...it is your responsibility as an employee, to remain professional and not act like a little hormonal child, towards your customers. Especially, when they were not speaking of, or towards you. If you can't keep your composure behind the bar every time a customer makes a comment (again...one that had nothing to do with you!!!) then, you should find a job outside of the service industry. Needless to say, we walked out and will NOT be back. I wouldn't recommend that bartender to anyone. With that being said...the lady bartenders, were all extremely friendly and professional. If it weren't for the rude, moody, snobby, jerk of a male bartender...we would have stayed and spent a good amount of money there on food and drinks. But, I'm not giving my hard earned money to an ungrateful, eavesdropping child of a bartender. Instead, we went to Rider's Inn to finish off our night, and it was lovely. I'm upset about our experience. Especially, it being our first time there. I was excited about trying it out (especially the food, which we didn't even stick around to try). But, now, will never return or recommend. It...
