After seeing the reviews of this place we had high hopes and were very disappointed in the food. We came here on a rainy Thursday and it was surprisingly busy, which we thought was a good sign. They sat us quickly and gave us chips and salsa fast too. The chips were stale, like they had been sitting out. The salsa was ok, nothing to rave about but not bad. Our waiter came and checked on us multiple times, which was nice, and he kept our drinks full. We ordered a Pepsi, and it was flat, no bubbles. We didn't get a refill and stuck to water after that. I ordered the pork burrito, and it is the worst burrito I've ever had. A frozen burrito would taste better. The pork had a chewy texture and took forever to chew it was also gray as if it was boiled. The taste was no better. They served the burrito with refried beans, rice, and coleslaw. The coleslaw was just nasty, it was super bitter and didn't pair with the food at all. I have never had coleslaw served with a burrito. It was strange and tasted bad. The beans and rice were mid, and you can get better beans from a can at the store. We got a kids meal hard taco with beans and rice and the taco must of been sitting for awhile because when he picked it up the bottom was falling off and he couldn't eat the shell, ended up trying to eat the meat with a fork. We came here starving, looking for good food, and left disappointed and still hungry. None of us finished our food. It is also overpriced for the quality. $15 for a burrito with beans and rice, Taco Bell would taste better and bet cheaper. I don't recommend...
Read moreBuisness seems to have changed. Not sure what exactly. Possibly ownership/management. Employees different from our last visited but, food is what really took a dive. We.noticed the menu said the sister restaurant is Mi Mecico? I don't recall.these being associated with each on our last visited. It has been a couple.of years.....
This is caucasio mexican. The food was extremely salty. The molcojete and mendudo once were really nice and reasonably priced.
Both dishes were served to us luke warm. The molcojete was easy to touch, somewhat warm but, the dish inside was barely warm. The.menudo was salty and was already seasoned with oregano.
I let the waitress know and she seemed to agree with the temp of the molcojete. The waitress took it and it was brought back by a waiter . The cheese was a little darker but the contents and molcojete was not any warmer. I was disappointed 2nd time in one visit. The beans on the side plate were also cold. When the molcojete was brought back, the green onions were missing. At this point I wanted to either take the food home to heat it up or just leave. The flavor, consistency, and amount of green in the molcojete has also changed, no bueno.
a huge miss and we won't be back. Mid if even this trip. What a...
Read moreJust a mediocre experience and not worth $100.00 for the 4 of us, no alcohol even. For some reason we all only ate about 1/2 our dinner & no one wanted it to go. For myself, the enchiladas were only folded in half wuth cheese in middle and on bottom side of plate (?), not rolled up & the mole sauce was really non descript. Not good. Additionally, I am getting more fed up with (Mexican restaurants it seems) that drop your food off and never return to see how it is, refills, nothing. I still left decent tip but not the 20% + I usually do. Just getting annoyed with this service becoming more common place. The joke is receipt suggests an 18% or higher tip. lol. No taxes on tips won't matter as I start to tip 10% instead of 20. My dau later said her burrito was not very good. Last time here. Came once before and mediocre also. Think customers must be lowering their standards as to what is good service or good dining. Place was quite busy, ample servers but I even had to ask different server for check. Ours never came back after dropping off the food. Not attentive staff. There are fast food restaurants that will drop your food off, so big deal.... Rethink bringing your date her as she won't be...
