It is irresponsible and frankly predatory to not make prices abundantly clear to one’s customers, most especially when the prices are exorbitant and the restaurant is in an overwhelmingly low-income area. I felt sick to my stomach when I was told my total was over $20 for two pastries and a coffee. With a tip, my total was just over $24. I would love to support a business that I know gives back to its community, but as a member of that very community (living within a half mile and working downtown) I can’t afford to and unfortunately don’t feel I was able to make an informed decision about my purchase. My receipt saying “custom amount” three times instead of listing my items doesn’t make me feel good about the transaction, either. Sure, I should have asked for the prices of things, but at the time I felt safe assuming that an establishment that prides itself on its philanthropy and what it does for the community would be accessible to that community. The pastries were good, the coffee wasn’t really. I can find pastries just as good and coffee as whatever—nevermind better—for much, much less money nearby. Supporting those small businesses supports my community, too, and allows people like me to take part in culinary enjoyment within our means. I encourage Christopher’s to be more forthcoming with their prices and offer affordable options. I encourage consumers and community members to make a well-informed decision about where their money goes and how much of it when it’s time to feed and treat themselves.

Christopher’s is a gem in this city. Owners Chris and Nate are very welcoming. My daughter and I had lunch a few days ago and it was delicious. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy and the smells of fresh baked goods are as soon as you open the door. The chef takes care in selecting quality ingredients. Everything was presented well and you can taste the quality ingredients. We had the Italian sandwich, fresh meat and homemade roll, the chicken soup, very creamy and nice chunks of chicken. I had vanilla chai tea, a great selection of teas, coffee is delicious. We had desert , decadent pistachio cake and a ex large salted Cho. Chip cookie. Some things I have had is almond croissant, flaky filled with almonds, frosted cinnamon roll( the best) home made icing and so delicious, stuffed French toast, great fruit cup, soup, garden salad with chunks of chicken , pizza slices, and of course decadent desserts choc parfait, real homemade whipped cream, pistachio pie, cheesecake choc 3 layer cake, all so good and homemade. The portions are enough for two. They change menu each day, and can reserve food for pickup same day if not sold out. You deserve quality home made food and you get it at Christopher’s.

Love , Love, Love Christopher's!! Such a great addition to the city and exactly what the city needed. The atmosphere is so clean, inviting, cozy. It's such a cool vibe. The menu changes daily which i think is great and is part of what Christopher's is different, yet inviting, respectful, and just amazing!! Everything has always been fresh. I can tell you their quahogs are delicious, lobster Mac and cheese loads of lobster and cheesy!! So much more! I have so many favs!!! I'll run out of space to type it all!! Also salted chocolate chip cookie to die for!! Amongst all the cheesecakes, crossaints , parfaits! Literally something for everyone! They also just started with some gluten free things!! Also they do amazing events for children!! They always do a general public time and a sensory time for those children in need and for this reason alone, they will always have my respect and business!! As we know in 2024 this should be something happening all around on the daily and Christopher's delivers! Not to mention he is always helping the city in anyway possible! Which speaks for itself ! So if you haven't been stop in, you won't be disappointed and if you are well then my apologies to you because you then obviously lack in quality and this place always delivers. Keep in mind they are a small business and are busy running all things so a little patience and grace goes along way! Go give them a follow !! Christopher's ❤️ Chris and Nate are freaking...
