My Fiance and I visited this place with high hopes, meals were over priced the owners husband Carl was outstanding I will give them that.He Had amazing customer service. I recently moved into the area got a job working at this establishment they came off as family oriented like they wanted to help the community, but fired me for no apparent reason other then I expressed my life circumstances that I was going to be homeless, said they would help. Then fired me because they thought I would be an inconvenience nothing to do with my work ethic. They come across as a place to hold weddings, music venues , they own properties etc to give back to the community and when they had the chance they throw me out like trash. Not saying it was their job to help me but don't tell someone you are going to help them and then throw them away like trash. Left a really bad taste in my mouth. Will not be dining there or referring anyone to that place. I'd give zero stars ⭐ if I had the option. My fiance did not like the oxtails and rice that came it was really hard and tough. The chicken wings were dry and he specifically said that mac and cheese does not need carrots or eggs. Tasted like the Jamaican patties were bought from...
Read moreI found this place on google as i was visiting from out of town and was looking for some Jamaican food like my grandma used to make, and this place had good reviews. The waitress and the hostess were polite, and the place was empty. There was only one other table there when I came. The food was mediocre and disappointing, i left most of the food on my plate, i ate the little bit of ox tail meat, took half a bite of one plantain, and a few bites of the other stuff, but the majoritywas left on the plate. I'm not sure if I came on a bad day or what, but the oxtails were super small, barely any meat, mostly bones, and fatty. The oxtail gravy was flavorful though. The cabbage was cold, not lukewarm but cold, the plantains were cold, the rice and peas were hot but had absolutely no flavor, lol. I tried to taste a Jamaican beef patty but they had none. The drink Black Girl Magic was good but definitely more juice than liquor. Again, I don't know if it was an off day or people giving the reviews just don't know what good...
Read moreWe love ajamaican food and are regular visitors to Jamaica, so we know what authentic Jamaican food is. Decided to try The Path to get a taste of "home." Atmosphere was good, our waitress was helpfull. We had some questions about the menu and she was not well informed about the type of fish used. We ordered patties, cocoa bread, oxtail, and Jerk Chicken. We found the flavor to be outstanding but the portion size poor. The patties were enjoyable. The coco bread was like it had been popped into the microwave for 15 seconds. It was once folded...my preference is double folded to get that layered goodness. The jerk chicken was one small chicken leg 🍗 chopped into 3 pieces. Tha plate was $18 The oxtail consisted of approximately 5 pieces and that was $30. Both featured authentic Jamaican flavor but left you wanting more meat. Bottled beers were $7+. I don't mind paying but for $20-$30 a meal I expect to leave full. Probably will not be...
