A new Fallbrook gem!
Sincerely, returning customer + guests!
The restaurant: “Eat up!”
Amazing food, customer service and so many drink options! They have great portions, and fresh + tasty sides. The Shrimp Scampi & Chicken Alfredo Flatbread are a couple of my favorites. It’s so nice to have a location in fallbrook, with a full bar and specialty cocktails that provides an enjoyable & aesthetic indoor/outdoor experience (that isn’t a sports/dive bar, but still provides the sports games—2 tv’s at the bar!)
Experience/hospitality:
I was greeted by the owner Jesse, who welcomed us with unprecedented hospitality (he gave me a hand shake on my way out, and showed appreciation and interest in my group’s experience!). The management team and restaurant crew provided an experience that keeps me coming back! La Cucina is definitely a, “Fallbrook, the friendly village” atmosphere.
The bar: “Cheers!”
The bar manager Danielle excelled in providing us w/ a social and memorable experience! Also, bartender Matt makes a very tasty and artistic espresso martini. BUT! I have to say that their bartender Emily makes the BEST WHISKEY SOUR I have ever had in San Diego county—a “MUST TRY”!!! She has “top shelf” drinks, attentiveness & is fun/charismatic!
Score: 11/10
Excited and hopeful for the success of La Cucina! I encourage the Fallbrook community to plan a night to dine in & support this...
Read moreWe have been coming to this restaurant since its grand opening.
This has become one of our favorite places in Fallbrook! The service is great! When you meet the owner, you will know why. Jesse is wonderful! Very friendly and accommodating.
You can't beat the lunch specials! Where can you get a decent meal for $15 with a glass of wine? I don't eat meat, but my friends love their chicken parmesan and shrimp scampi. I usually order off the regular menu, I love the build-your-own pasta - the vodka sauce is great! Love their calzone, pizza and salads too!
We often come with a big group and sit in the backroom. They don't add a tip to the receipt unless you have a large group. This is to protect their servers and they disclose this up front.
I will note, that when they first opened they had some issues that have been resolved. If you haven't been in a while, I'd recommend giving it another shot!
I like that they have a choice of either tables or booths. It is a nice atmosphere. They also have a nice wine selection and a full bar.
Pros: Great food, reasonable pricing, great service / friendly environment, good for parties, great wine selection, and nice full bar. Vegetarian friendly.
Cons: When you sit in the backroom - the bathrooms are a...
Read moreI heard mixed reviews and decided to visit this restaurant for myself... very glad I did! The atmosphere is welcoming. We were warmly greeted and quickly shown to our table. There were approximately 7 - 10 other tables taken with 2 - 8 people in each party. My wife and I never had to wait to make our drink order; the same with our meals. Additionally, the noise level never became an issue. Rob, an experienced waiter, answered all of our questions and made our main course choices simple. My wife had the chicken piccata with braised yams and the gnocchi soup as an appetizer. I had the rib eye steak (medium rare... perfectly done!) with asparagus and a house salad. Both were delicious! Our evening was made complete when Jesse, the proud owner of La Cucina Trattoria, introduced himself and joined us for an enlightening conversation. With over 25yrs experience managing large corporate restaurants, along with successfully owning two other restaurants, we realized how he lead the culture of the staff to be cohesive, completely supporting each other, ensuring the best dining experience for the patron. We are confident that La Cucina Trattoria will be successful and a great compliment to...
