La Michoacana Fallbrook — Restaurant in California

Went to the Fallbrook location yesterday to give this place another chance...well...after 4 visits we have decided to eliminate this store completely from additional visits. It is obviously NOT cleaned on a regular basis. Floor, doors, signage etc. obviously not cleaned recently. Ice cream freezer compartments smudged all over with old ice cream splashes, the ice cream is actually difficult to see to select since all see thru surfaces are unclean. Really messy ice cream tubs, also being so large, the tubs are there for a LONG time. as in my 2 previous visits, while tasting very cordially offered flavors at least 2 out of 4 were obviously previously thawed and refrozen, with ice crystals presenting an unpleasant texture. sides of tubs all coated with dried sticky residue. After pointing out a couple of ice creams samples were obviously old, the manager lady agreed and said they would remove them. (really?)... The temperature in the freezer was set too high since the ice cream coming off the spoon is "goopy", almost soft serve consistency resulting in extremely messy, drippy cones. The area of freezer containing chocolate dipped cones was dirty with several of the cones just placed in there uncovered all in a pile. I have been to at least 3 Michoacans in Escondido, 2 in Temecula area and they have all been scrupulously clean, ice cream freezers spotless, if something dropped it was cleaned. The ice creams were all creamy. pleasantly melting on the palate with perfect frozen temperature. NEVER the granular, almost rubbery portions in them. All that being said...if this is a franchise, the main owners should be made aware of this or at least visit the Fallbrook site to see for themselves the conditions I...

Disappointed and shocked to say the least. My family and I don’t normally come here for the ice cream because truthfully the taste is awful. We normally come for the crepes. Nobody can really mess those up, until tonight. My family and I made it 30 minutes before closing time. We asked the employee there for 2 orders of the crepes and a churro dessert. Her face said it all when we placed our order, she was not happy. She made the crepes and when she finished those two orders, we had 10 minutes left before closing time and asked her for the last one and she declined. Her reason she said was because she closes at 10 and she couldnt but clearly she simply didn’t want to. I didn’t know if I wanted to laugh or be angry. But I did express to her that maybe they should update there website and say they decline any orders placed between 9:30-10:00pm. The whole matter isn’t that serious but it also is. The whole service was just awful and to make matters worse our crepes looked like they were shaken in the box before it was given to us. Anyway, lesson learned and last time...

The place is new to the strip mall area. It was clean and the staff was sweet and helpful. No issues with no mask!! That was awesome. The choices of ice cream are plentiful and some oddball options like cheerios, fruit loops, to monster energy drink flavors are far out there! Prices are high, higher than I expected and higher than Baskin Robbins. I got a small strawberry shake which was 5.30 but is advertised as 6.99. There was whipped cream and a cherry top. It was bland for me personally which is why I gave 3 stars. But worth a try for yourself. There is a reward program also. I added pictures of pretty much everything...
