The owner of Antonio’s is extremely unprofessional and lacks any decent customer service skills. We frequently visited Antonio’s for family dinners, and we have never had any problems until 11-20-2021. I want to make it clear we are 3 women with 6 kids. Our bill was $180 and we tipped $70! The owner has no respect, let alone any class.
While we were enjoying our dinner the OWNER approached us and rudely asked us to clean up the floor before we left. Shocked & confused by what was just asked of us, we asked our waitress to have him come back so we could clarify. When he came back to our table, my mother asked “did you just ask us to clean up the floor?” He immediately without any hesitation starting yelling “are you serious.. I have a clean, beautiful restaurant” and went on and on about how our kids made a mess (there was literally 6 noodles and 2 spoons on the floor). He was loud, extremely rude, and very disrespectful. He kept talking over and interrupting us, he wouldn’t give us a chance to say a word! Our waitress was so embarrassed and kept apologizing on his behalf and the rest of the wait staff was telling him how wrong he was also.
Have some respect for your paying customers. Not only did you embarrass us, but you embarrassed yourself and caused a scene! You’re rude, unprofessional, and have zero respect for good, loyal customers! You should be ashamed of yourself! What respectful business man treats customers that way, let alone women and children! We will never come back to your “clean, beautiful restaurant”. Please don’t even get me started on your disgusting bathrooms or the fruit flies we swat away while eating! Please remember for the future that it takes months to find a customer, but just seconds to lose one! We don’t need you,...
Read moreWe used to go to Antonio's in Farmington Hills frequently but after today's fiasco we won't return. Our waitress messed up the order 4 times. We sent it back twice and asked to cancel that dish from the order. The manager came out, apologized said she would take it off the bill, we were satisfied with that, but she brought the bill out and only took $1.00 off. We became upset again and she sends a guy named Antonio out who's comments amounted to, "we had to throw out 2 dinners", I don't believe he even apologized, and the bottom line is --- everyone would have left happy if the waitress had put the order in correctly, or the kitchen would have read the order correctly. All we did was substitute garlic/olive oil instead of the Rita sauce and said, "absolutely no parsley or oregano is to be on the noodles" and it came out with it all over it, round 2 we asked for the sauce on the side, with plain noodles thinking we might be safer with that option, and it came out with the sauce and noodles mixed. By this time everyone else was done eating and we did not want to chance another attempt on a dinner for my son.
The waitress had placed a small plate of spaghetti on top of my calzone when she brought it to our table and also spilled the small dish of marinara.
I've been in customer service for 38 years, and I know people, had the management come out, LISTENED to the problems we encountered, apologized for the mishap and taken my son's order off the check, we would still be patrons of their business. I won't be back, and I will voice the problems we encountered EVERY CHANCE I GET! I understand waitresses have bad days, but when the manager and the presumed owner all mess up this bad, it's...
Read moreTerrible experience, terrible service, terrible food. We had 5 people in our party last Friday, February 11th. Why is it that the hostess can seat AT LEAST 10 parties of 4, but we had to wait 45 minutes for our party to be sat? All they did was stick an extra table on the edge of a booth. That's problem #1. We were 2 families and the waiter refused to put our meals on 2 different bills, and we asked before even giving him our drink order. That's problem #2. The food was extremely bland. My gnocci had ZERO flavor. The only flavor in this dish came from the meat sauce, which tastes exactly like sauce from canned ravioli that children eat. That's problem #3. When a guest from our table mentioned to the waiter that he noticed someone at the bar was eating what looked like a dessert with 2 scoops of ice cream served in a glass, the waiter just said, "that doesn't sound like anything we serve". And that was it. He didn't investigate, ask a manager... did absolutely nothing to find out what it was for him. Instead, the guest that was asking about the "dessert" walked up to the bar and asked the bartender. When the waiter came back, the guest said that he asked the bartender what it was, would you please talk to him? The waiter refused and the guest had to walk with him up to the bar to inquire about it so that he could order it. That was problem #4. The waiter was rude, had no patience, short-tempered and didn't even want to list off the soups available. None of us will ever return to this restaurant again. There are plenty of Italian restaurants that serve delicious food and treat their customers with respect. This was one of the worst experiences I've had in...
