You know, I've heard great things about 2 Booli, and I had high hopes of it being great, but unfortunately my experience was soured after today's visit.
Fault lies on both parties (myself and 2 Booli) for said terrible experience.
Firstly, my girlfriend and I walked in around 4pm and stood at the entryway for about 5 minutes before being greeted and then seated... This type of service is appalling to me because there was no visible sign that said "Seat Yourself" or "Please wait to be Seated"
Fast forward to us being waited on by a gentleman named "Ali". This guy was nice enough, and maybe I was a little bit rude to him, because I was in a foul mood for various reasons unbeknownst to him. (i.e. Not really being hungry, but being dragged there to eat, and therefore forced to order something, unless I chose to simply drink water)
However, I digress. I ordered the 2Booli & Hummus ($5.99), because I thought it was simply hummus and pita bread, and here was where I made my fatal error... I was an idiot for choosing a dish that I thought was something else, I normally would have ordered a Chicken Shwarma, but like I said, I wasn't very hungry and therefore, I decided to go with what I thought was the 'safe' route.
The 2Booli came, and much to my dismay, is not what I had pictured in my head, it was apparently parsley, hummus, and tomatoes... I hate tomatoes with a passion ... It's the one thing my taste-buds over the years have simply hated repeatedly after the every 7 year change...
I told my server "Ali" that I thought I had ordered hummus and 2Booli and he told me that it indeed was a sandwich, and I was like... oh... that is not what I thought it was... And you know... here was an opportunity for the server to offer remediation for my current plight, but seeing as he was not forthcoming with such stellar service that I receiver at ... say ANY other restaurant, I simply said, that is fine, I guess I will deal with it, but I hate tomatoes!
Fast forward a few minutes and Ali returns with an extra plate of hummus and leaves...
Fast forward a few more minutes and he returns asking how our food is. My girlfriend responds with her food being delicious (she ordered the Fattoush salad) and I simply respond with a thumbs down... and then here is where I was apparently a 'dick'... I query "Ali" about the hummus plate he dropped off, by saying "Is that plate hers or mine?" because I was genuinely interested as to who it belonged too... because it was a nice plate of roasted garlic hummus with a lemon wedge and something else along with a mountain of tomatoes on it...
He said it was mine, to which I promptly replied, "Why would you bring me a plate of hummus with tomatoes when I just told you I hated tomatoes?"
Now I wasn't trying to be rude, but I was trying to do my best Socrates impression by simply testing this individual... I think I pissed him off, because not only did I not get a refill on my water, but he also didn't say anything more to us, but simply dropped off our bill after he had previously returned with a new plate of hummus (which was mixed up and simply thrown on a plate, without the presentation of the lemon wedge and the other garnish item, that I did not touch, because, he a) most likely spit in it, because I was a 'rude' customer and b) I have seen the movie "Waiting")
The golden rule is "Don't mess with people who handle your food, and I usually, 99% of the time, never cause a fuss or ruckus, but I was in that 'mood'... and I told my girlfriend she shouldn't even leave a tip, because I thought it was such terrible service... but she is much nicer than I am... I don't like to reinforce bad behavior... Granted ... This might all be a misunderstanding or miscommunication between Ali and myself, but even if he was pissed at me or pissed at himself for allowing me to make him feel "stupid" from my earlier inquiry on the mysterious plate.
I will never eat there again, they do have comfortable seating, but they probably need to be Health inspected because nothing was clean when we ate...

Meanwhile my kids and i were'nt even GOOD ENOUGH TO GET A GLASS OF WATER, OR EVEN THE CHEAP PITA BREAD!!! I asked the waitress was anyone coming to take our order even though the curly haired waitress was serving a table right behind us?? Im assuming she HAD NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING, REGARDING PITCHING IN IF THEY WERE SHORT STAFFED!!! I even went to the PATHETIC MANAGER, I think his name was ANDREW, and he saild , he thought we had been waited on, even though we had NO WATER AND NO BREAD AND OR FOOD ON THE TABLE!!! My cousin is a food critic for one of the local papers and im definately telling him about this PATHETIC RESTAURANT WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLLS.
