Mona Lisa Pizza — Restaurant in Fate

I've read some of the comments from other patrons on here. Some negative, some positive. This is my family and I's experience. Full disclosure, ordering from here was purely accidental. We were looking for a new pizza place. There just isn't any great ones within almost 30 miles. While looking we had decided, but this one was accidentally selected and didn't realize until after "place order" was selected. Ok back to the experience. I walk in and there were no other customers there. So I guessed that maybe most of there business is to go orders. An older gentleman came out from the back and spoke with me and after the order was confirmed, he gave me an estimate of when it will be ready. So I sit and wait. A few minutes later a different gentleman brings me my order, thanks me, have a great day, etc. I usually check my order before I leave. ( Joe Pesci's comments in Lethal Weapon is not just the drive in lol) But I went just the smell. Smelled great. I took the 20 minute drive back to the house. Open the boxes, the order is correct and still piping hot ( that's a plus). We take a bite, not bad at all. We also ordered some cheesy breadsticks. Those were tasty as well. Now being of Sicilian descent, I have had my fair share of pizza. Was this the absolute best, no. Was it good enough to order again, definitely. They definitely were not shy with the toppings. If there was absolutely one thing I had to complain about. There were these dry herbs (Oregano?) they put on the pizza, but more heavy handed on the breadsticks. It just made it taste a little weird. Definitely wasn't needed. Next time would request that not be put on there. This was my experience, yours may be better, it may be worse. But give it a try and...

FYI, if anyone wants a good sandwich, dont order from Mona Lisa Pizza in Fate!

We have been ordering pizza from Mona Lisa Pizza since we move here last Sept and the pizza is pretty good. We tried the sandwiches today and it is a no go. This is the All Meat Sandwich 9in sub that is to include ham, pepperoni, hamburger, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and special sauce for $12.99 ea. I ordered 3 (no hamburger) and they all looked like below.

I called and spoke with the owner about this and he personally told me that he personally made the subs and that I’m lying bc he put meat on the subs. I told him there could have been a mistake and that we’re repeat customers and wanted to know if there is anything he could do and he just apologized saying he made the sandwiches and they look like how they make them and that’s it. I told him this is unacceptable and offered to show him a picture of what i have and he said there is nothing he could do.

I told him that it is unfortunate that he treats repeat customers this way and that We will neverr purchase from him again and he said he would take my name down and give me a small discount on my next purchase but will not discount or fix my current order.

We’re not buying from here again sandwiches or pizza. Terrible customer...

I have order delivery several times only ever being a large fate fire fighter pizza. Was always told my total and never had a delivery charge. This time I order the same large pizza and want to try 2 calzones. They never give me a total. Had call me back 2 times cause they didn't get my info right. It was over an hour before the delivery guy showed up. Meanwhile I check my bank records and was charged way over the amount. I ask the delivery guy why he said to call in I did while he was standing there. While trying to explain to the person that the delivery guy was standing in front of me and why was I charged that amount. The person on the phone could not give me and reason and told I would have to wait until I recieved the pizza and they recieved the ticket back. I keep repeating that the delivery was in front of me and I was not receiving the pizza until you explain why. The guy hang up on me. Then the delivery guy called back himself. Never got a good reason why. I told the delivery guy to take it back and I feel sorry for him that he has to work for someone like that. Still waiting on my refund. And end up going to Dominos instead at least they had great...
