Rollin Beans Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Fate

Unfortunately didn’t have a great first experience here.

TLDR: found fuzzy black mold inside my croissant, they refunded me. Excellent customer service.

Stopped before driving home to get a coffee and pastry. The girl working there pulled out a menu item of pastries they had. Decided to try to the ham(turkey? Can’t remember) and swiss croissant and a vanilla iced latte! 1. Customer service was excellent and she was really nice! 2. Coffee was good! 3. Unfortunately upon taking a bite of the croissant I noticed it tasted off, like a couple of days old off but there was something else besides that. I opened up the croissant and noticed that the inside was full of black fuzzy mold. 🥴🥴 glad I only took one bite out of that.

Immediately called them since I was already on my way home and the girl immediately apologized and said she would refund me. Which I appreciate!! So they did good in fixing it. But still wanted to post this as a warning and hopefully better inventory assessment for perishable food items! Someone could seriously get sick if they...

Got a coffee before they closed for the day because I wanted to try them out and I was not disappointed. I had the Iced Coconut Mocha Dream Latte and it was divine! I wanted it in the 20oz because I have a coffee problem and was hoping for all of the fixings (drizzle and whipped cream) but they were running out of the large cups and the accompaniments because of a busy morning - I did after all get my coffee 20 minutes before closing. I actually enjoyed trying the coffee by itself because it was strong with a nice balance of sweet mocha flavor. The coconut wasn't overpowering and didn't leave that dreaded coating in my mouth either. This coffee was amazing, can't wait to come back and try...

The employees are really sweet and friendly and the coffee is really unique. However, for the past almost two months ive seen these girls sweating their asses off in this metal trailer with no AC. The door isnt closed and ive seen flies on EVERYTHING when ordering. They said their boss is trying their hardest but i dont think their boss even gives a single shit if they let it go on this long. As a dad, i think its a real shame that these girls are experiencing these conditions and I personally would never let my daughter work at a place that treats their staff with such...
