I rarely leave reviews as I am not often the guy to put much credence in them. Go. Eat. Be merry. If you have ever had any authentic Afghan food or anything from the region you will be thoroughly impressed. The food was a phenomenal value for the money. Everything was quality, fresh, and made with passion. My group consisted of folks with varying levels from foodie to a chicken nuggets and ketchup dude, and not a soul walked away any less than extremely satisfied.
For those of you not familiar with the type of food, donāt worry. Dive in. The flavor profiles are familiar and think of the food as comfort food from a different area. Delicious. Large portions. Flavorful.
Our group of eight placed orders and expected a bit of a wait. We didnāt have to. The cook/owner/whoever has found a wonderful balance in food prep and making sure everything came out fresh and hot. I work in the service industry and often this balance is nigh impossible to strike. Bravo.
It brought back great memories. Support these guys. They opened during covid and truly make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve passed this place numerous times and have always wanted to try it. Today I came in and placed a to go order and I can say it did not disappoint not one bit. From the appearance of the establishment to the friendly staff upon first entering I was very blown away by just that.
The owner took my order at the counter, answered all my questions, and even told me about all the renovations he had made to the place. You can tell he really cares about his restaurant and is passionate about the food he sells which automatically made me realize that the food would be amazing prior to receiving it.
I got all my food to go and when I got in my car to open up the to-go trays, all I can say is that they put so much care into the appearance of the food from the hummus to the small salad in my box everything was garnished and freshly made. I VERY rarely leave reviews, but I was just so blown away at their attention to detail, love, and care. I will definitely be returning and not to mention everything was so damn delicious. 10/10...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI concur with PJ P, Afghan Kebob is a hidden gem! Let me first say I have been in Fayetteville for 5 years and Afghan Kebob is the FIRST eating establishment I have seen with a "100.0" NC Health Inspection score. I saw why...the restaurant was spot clean! Let me also say their food is a cut above anything I have ate...no disrespect to O' Lea or Pharaoh's Village. The lamb is REAL LAMB, at first I was expected lamb pieces or lamb substitute but this place has the real deal. The lamb is slow cooked with seasoning and initially I thought it was going to be very chewy. Boy was I wrong! Hands down the best lamb gyro I have ate outside of Europe & Middle East. I also respect the service to both his country and mine, the owner sacrificed and I wish you nothing but the very best of the American Dream. As long as I am living here Afghan Kebob will be my go-to. Last but certainly not lease, shout out to Maryam! She was amazing with her customer service and she was very knowledgeable of the menu. Wish you the best with...
