I wanted this excision experience to be good. Even after being on hold for about 10 minutes then being hung up on (hint #1 not to eat there), then being on hold for about 20 minutes, all the way up to telling them to hang up on me because I was already there (hint #2), then being told that they don't carry an Afghan restaurant staple that is listed on their menu (hint #3), and this was the first time across three continents that an Afghan restaurant did not have at least one Afghan working there (hint #4), I still ordered. They do not have a full Afghan menu, pretty much just kabobs, abs falafel (which isn't even Afghan). So I ordered a kaftan (shemi) kabob, it came with kabuki rice and chick peas. The chick peas were way too sweet, the rice had no Seasoning and the kabob was horrible. The picture I've attached didn't really do justice to how bad it really was. Please don't eat there, but if you do, don't consider it real Afghan food real Afghan food is very good.

First time here and definitely NOT the last!! Extremely HAPPY to find a place that takes pride in their food, service and restaurant cleanliness. I’m sure this place will last the true test of time as a small business in Fayetteville. From the minute I walked into this establishment you can see how clean this place is. We ordered our food Friday at about 6 pm and ate in. The pictures attached show what we ordered (chicken kabob platter and lamb gyro). The meals were made with FRESH ingredients and were super FLAVORFUL. So grateful for friendly service from Mrs. April and the suggestion to order online if I’m short on time for future visits. Can’t wait to share this place with my coworkers! Also I encourage you to read the plaque posted near the entrance of how this business came to Fayetteville. I love a story of humble beginnings in their journey to a successful business.

OMG this place is absolutely clean and amazing. Awesome and friendly staff ! thanks to Mariam for her kind and friendly service. The food is the most delicious food I have ever had, I really liked their new addition to the menu the fish, you must try the fish it blew my mind when i tried it. After Covid-19 cleanliness has been the biggest factor for my family when it comes to eating out and we are so satisfied to see the place miraculously clean ,when I mentioned this to the owner he was happy to show me his sanitation rating of 100% displayed in the restaurant, I took a picture of it for all the clean freaks like us to see. I will definitely use their catering service for my wife's birthday soon. overall 10/10 in quality, service and taste.

I rarely leave reviews as I am not often the guy to put much credence in them. Go. Eat. Be merry. If you have ever had any authentic Afghan food or anything from the region you will be thoroughly impressed. The food was a phenomenal value for the money. Everything was quality, fresh, and made with passion. My group consisted of folks with varying levels from foodie to a chicken nuggets and ketchup dude, and not a soul walked away any less than extremely satisfied.

For those of you not familiar with the type of food, don’t worry. Dive in. The flavor profiles are familiar and think of the food as comfort food from a different area. Delicious. Large portions. Flavorful.

Our group of eight placed orders and expected a bit of a wait. We didn’t have to. The cook/owner/whoever has found a wonderful balance in food prep and making sure everything came out fresh and hot. I work in the service industry and often this balance is nigh impossible to strike. Bravo.

It brought back great memories. Support these guys. They opened during covid and truly make...

I’ve passed this place numerous times and have always wanted to try it. Today I came in and placed a to go order and I can say it did not disappoint not one bit. From the appearance of the establishment to the friendly staff upon first entering I was very blown away by just that.

The owner took my order at the counter, answered all my questions, and even told me about all the renovations he had made to the place. You can tell he really cares about his restaurant and is passionate about the food he sells which automatically made me realize that the food would be amazing prior to receiving it.

I got all my food to go and when I got in my car to open up the to-go trays, all I can say is that they put so much care into the appearance of the food from the hummus to the small salad in my box everything was garnished and freshly made. I VERY rarely leave reviews, but I was just so blown away at their attention to detail, love, and care. I will definitely be returning and not to mention everything was so damn delicious. 10/10...

I concur with PJ P, Afghan Kebob is a hidden gem! Let me first say I have been in Fayetteville for 5 years and Afghan Kebob is the FIRST eating establishment I have seen with a "100.0" NC Health Inspection score. I saw why...the restaurant was spot clean! Let me also say their food is a cut above anything I have ate...no disrespect to O' Lea or Pharaoh's Village. The lamb is REAL LAMB, at first I was expected lamb pieces or lamb substitute but this place has the real deal. The lamb is slow cooked with seasoning and initially I thought it was going to be very chewy. Boy was I wrong! Hands down the best lamb gyro I have ate outside of Europe & Middle East. I also respect the service to both his country and mine, the owner sacrificed and I wish you nothing but the very best of the American Dream. As long as I am living here Afghan Kebob will be my go-to. Last but certainly not lease, shout out to Maryam! She was amazing with her customer service and she was very knowledgeable of the menu. Wish you the best with...
