Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Fayetteville

I am extremely disappointed with my service today. I don’t eat pizza often but I was craving pizza and I have had good service and pizza in the past and decided to return. The app was not very user friendly, one wrong mistake and it deleted the entire order. I had a order of a total $17.78 including tax, $16.48 before tax when I ordered online. I was able to check out and pay through the app with my card and it was going to pay with my card and couldn’t find it so decided to pay cash once I picked up my order. Once arriving I gave the lady my name to pick up and pay for my order. She tells me the order is $19.94. I told her my email confirmation says $17.78 and showed her my email confirmation. She says “Well on my screen it says $19.94 and that’s what you have to pay” I asked if I can speak to a manager because that does not make sense to me. She replies “I am the general manager.” I begin to ask her why she would have a different total that what I do and she said “I don’t know I don’t deal with the app and I can’t change the price”. There was a line behind me and decided to pay with my credit card that I had since I can just dispute the charges. She then hands me my boxes and then I see another two receipts with my order total of $17.78 with a sticker on the box and show her. She just looks at me and doesn’t really say anything and just says “I see what you mean”. She didn’t do anything to fix it after that other than give me a complementary ranch. This was my first time also ordering boneless buffalo wings and they are pretty much chicken nuggets with a buffalo sauce. First time ordering Hungry Howie's. First the positives... the pizza tastes good. I like the sauce because it isn't as bitter as other chains. They had a few good online deals that made the choice easier on my wallet. The Howie Bread is the bomb! I could skip the pizza and just eat the bread and I would be happy. The delivery was quicker than anticipated, even with the holiday Skibo Road traffic.

The less than positives... 3.49 delivery fee is one of the highest around. The sauce cup for the Howie Bread is not quite big enough for the bread. At 4.99, I'd like to get as much sauce as Little Caesar's offer with their 2.99 breadsticks. I did order extra butter on my bread, but I was rather upset to get a box that was literally soaked in butter. Having this delivered at work made the mess less than desirable. Putting down some deli paper or aluminum foil in the box could have prevented that. The thing that bothered me most was that I signed up for the email club and was sent a coupon for free Howie Bread. It clearly states that it must be used for an online order, but does not mention that it is for carryout only. I'm less likely to order online if I'm going to the store to get it anyway.

So... overall a good experience because the food does taste really good. I'm less than thrilled with the extra hassles and expense of delivery... which means I will be less likely to order there again as I am unable to leave work to get takeout. Went in last night for my "First Time Ever" I asked for 2 small pizzas with asiago cheese and a order of 8 wings my total came up to $26 I paid but I was thinking hmmm why so much? Check the ticket and she rang me up 2 medium pizzas. So I stepped to the side and said "excuse me I wanted 2 small pizzas" she said "you asked for medium I said no I asked for 2 small pizzas" then she seemed to be upset and said "okay I'll fix it" while rolling her eyes, typed something in the computer and said "$6 will go back on your card" but very rudely. Then the customer behind me ordered his pizza and because she upset she threw his two pennies on the counter for him to grab. The only reason why I didnt just delete the whole order is because my kids were hungry and it was already late! Got home and noticed she gave us 2 regular cheese pizzas. At this point I was over it!!!! I will never go back! Checked my receipt for her name and it was (Theresa M) and upon reading all the other reviews even to call and complain i see nothing will be done because shes the general manager. Actions like this towards customers from a GM is unacceptable! Corporate really needs to hire new management for this location because they will continue to lose...
