I called in an order after getting off work Monday morning , the person that took my order said it would be ready in 15 minutes, I arrived there because I was near by I sat in my car about 10 minutes in the parking lot, after that I got out to go in for my to go order, one of the waitresses asked did I call in an order and asked my name , I told her yes and gave my name, so I decided to sit on the bench by the door, waiting for her to get my order, I waited and waited every bit of about 25 minutes after the 15 minutes that I was quoted, I was busy looking out the windows at people and cars passing by and what have you to keep from falling asleep after working a 12 hour night shift. When I looked up at the cash register area where they take your order, I noticed a bag of food just sitting there for maybe 15 minutes, so in my mind I said this is taking way too long, let me ask them how much longer would it be for my order, so when I approached the desk and asked, one of the females said, how long will it be for what, I said for my call in order, the female said she was going to check on, so she was like whats your name , gave my name again, she turned around where the bag was sitting with the food and said it looks like it's right here, I said that I been waiting all this time and that bag been sitting there all this time, she began to apologize and said , I can have them to remake it for you, long story short, I am so happy that I am a changed person because everything in me wanted to just turn that place upside down, and I thank God for changing my life, but with that being said, I will never, ever, ever, as long as I am in my conscious mind visit this restaurant again in my life, I felt like the treatment was unjust and very unprofessional, and believe me,I have told all of my friends and family to never patronize them as well, people forget when you are paying your hard earned money, professionalism goes along way, i rated it a 1 but there shohld be a way to rate an 0, first impressions...
Read moreI do not often leave restaurant reviews but my experience was so unbelievably terrible, I cant believe it happened. I came in for the kids under 12 east free for my sister, there was no one in the front of house so my group and I had to wait before someone cam all ordered our food. When someone finally came, we were seated and given menus and I asked for a kids menu for my sister. The manager who was seating us told us there were no kids menus and there included in the adult one. I took it as it and we ordered, chicken and pancakes for me and the happy face combo for my younger one. We had to wait over 20 minutes for our food and I just assumed they were understaffed and tried to be patient. Finally, when our food is brought out, my younger sister was given an adult meal we didn’t order after I explicitly stated we were getting a children’s meal in order to qualify for the promo. A different server offered to take it back and bring what we wanted out but I did not wanted to wait for another long period of time for the food and didn’t want my younger sister to sit and watch everyone else eat theirs so I said it’s fine. Afterwards, I asked the waitress if there was any way for the food to be taken off because it’s not what we ordered and she said sure and that it wouldn’t be a problem. The manager then comes to the table very rudely and says that’s not possible because there was an adult meal for her put on our ticket. No kindness or apologies offered for the mistake of her employee or for the misunderstanding, we’re told only 10% can be taken off of the entire order and that’s it. At this point I just wanted to leave but then again, it took forever for someone to come out from the back doing who knows what and take my payment for me to leave, while waiting I saw another party with a children’s menu on their table and that was just the icing on the spoiled cake. Spare yourself and your family, this IHOP is not what it used to be and this experience soured my memories...
Read moreI showed the email on my phone for a free rooty jr. breakfast.Once our food was given to us our server NEVER came back. I had to ask several servers if they had seen her. There was a party (25-30) of teens (ages 16-20) who were seated. This crowd was very loud, disruptive, singing and standing and never were they approached to request they respect the other diners and settle down.Once I was finally able to track down our server she said she needed to go to the manager to have her adjust the ticket for my son's free meal and the two other kids meal which were free since we dined before 10.The server came back and said manager refused to do either.I went to the manger myself. I was informed by the manager that she would not comp my son's meal because the email had to printed. I have received these emails be fore and never have I printed them. The server also didn't mention that while taking our order. Then the manager insisted it was after 10 so kids meals were no longer free. My receipt clearly said 9:21 which tells me she didn't bother to look before denying the server. Eventually the two kids meals were comp but my son's birthday meal was not and that expired that night. The manager was very nonchalant and her demeanor definitely rubbed us the wrong way. As a manager she should have seen the bigger picture in providing customer service over a meal that cost less than $10. Ive never had these issues with the previous manager. This has cost you a frequent visiting family.
UPDATE: After writing in to IHOP via website on 3/19 I received a response on 3/20 from the project manager/supervisor for IHOP. Apologizing for the incident and insuring me is was in fact handled incorrectly. I received a meal pass in the mail shortly after for a free meal and drink. Not sure if I will be visiting this location again but glad management is handling...
