Food is usually good. However we ordered from door dash at 6:04PM this evening. Our dasher informs me at 6:29 that the restaurant tells him it’ll be another 10-20 minutes. Still waiting at 6:45 for the dasher to confirm pickup. I called at 6:40 and the lady on the phone was not accommodating nor apologetic. Just rude. She says “well we’re busy so that’s why” I mean who wants to be treated like that! They’re rude to customers and not thoughtful of the door dashers time , which is cutting into their earnings. Also, we’ve been here in person when there are 3 tables already served and it takes nearly half an hour or more to get our food before we return to work during lunch. I know you cook your food fresh, but so do a lot of restaurants and they mange it well. This is a clear example of poor management and rude employees. Do better. You will not make it for too long here in NWA if you can’t manage your business. Doesn’t matter how good your food is. There are plenty of your kind that offer kinder and efficient service. I’m in the hospitality industry and customer service is key to success or failure. Will recommend my friends family colleagues and guests of my company (major Fayetteville tourism) avoid this time consuming and rude establishment. Pretty obvious from reviews dating back sometime, that the service is lackluster. Just remember, we can choose any good Thai restaurant in the area, what sets you apart for success is Efficientcy and good customer service. Good luck. UPDATE: the order lacked our spring rolls. SMH I’m livid . Good luck...
Read moreWe go here because it's really the only decent Asian food place on the West side of Fayetteville. We have been doing so since we moved to this side of town in 2019.
Unfortunately their phone service seems spotty at best and getting a phone order will be 50/50 if you even get through. Management seems to acknowledge this, but offers nothing other than a shrug. I asked. In person. "Yep, sucks. Sorry" - It's 2025. Phone service should be a non-issue.
Due to lack of said phone service, I showed up in person and decided to place an in-person order, waiting in the restaurant for take-out. This took over 40 minutes. Unacceptable, seeing DoorDash orders come and go...
When asked what was the hold up, "Did you call?" "yes, your phone system didn't reach out, not even voicemail" "Did you order online?" "Well no, you don't have that on your website" "Its through DoorDash"
Why should I pay a 3rd party a percentage to facilitate an order through an app? Surely someone who showed up in person and tipped the minimum "suggested" tip of 18% should fare better.
We're done. 6 years of patronage to a Thai joint in an old sports bar atmosphere because at least the food was decent.
In short, don't go here if you want anything other than an average Asian food experience because there's nothing else in the area really other than a dilapidated...
Read moreI’ve been here several times and never had a problem. Last night, however, I had a major problem. My wife is gluten intolerant and asked for her food gluten free. They brought a plate out, I double checked with the waiter to make sure it was gluten free, he confirmed that it was. 5 minutes later, another plate left the kitchen carried by another waiter. He brought it over and told us it was the gluten free one. My wife had been eating a plate with gluten for 5 minutes.
Just to be clear, this means she’ll be sick for several days. That started today. Headaches, brain fog, pretty out of it. For several days. This is why I double checked with the first waiter. It’s bad.
What’s worse is Thai Spice’s response. They seemed not to care. They replaced her plate with the right one but didn’t ask if she was okay, didn’t see what they could do, didn’t investigate to see why this happened, didn’t discount the food, and just acted like nothing had happened.
I paid $40 for my wife to get sick for several days. I would not recommend that experience to you. We will be going elsewhere for Thai food...
