My son & I always order the Cinnamon bun crepes , And usually we order to go— but on the occasion we dine in, we take advantage of the early bird dinner special, (Buy a meal & 2 drinks, get the 2nd entrée free) … So when we come in for the special, we typically always order the cinnamon bun crêpes or the New York style cheesecake platter, but today, I guess the rules changed… I had my 16 & 5 year old sons along with me, Fully expecting to pay for a child’s meal, one adult meal and three beverages, and getting one adult entree for free “as per , the special”…mind you- we Get the same thing every time, and it’s never an issue .. So I let the waitress know that we are wanting the earlybird special and I proceed to put on our order for two cinnamon bun crêpes and a child’s funny face pancake…. All is good until time for the bill … Today, the manager “Tiffany” tells me That the cinema bun crêpes are not included in the special —(btw, according to her, there are only 5 dinner entrees from which you can choose for the special and it’s the fish platter, T-bone steak platter, sirloin steak platter, salmon platter, chicken fried steak platter.) the waitress chimes in & tells her that she has never been told not to do the cinnamon bun crêpes by any other manager & that “Everyone else comps pancakes, crêpes, and other Entrees all the time“ , & She also added in that she had told me it was OK Before I finalised my order when I told her I was here for the early bird special— Manager Tiffany still says she wants me to pay full price for both meals. After quite a bit of back-and-forth,,. She refused to work with me at all. I asked her if she would honor the special this one time & I would know from here on out that the rules are different now & she still said no. I think it’s unfair that she waited until after we ate our food, when we have no option of ordering something From the approved menu items… felt like I got a good screwing… the ol’ BAIT & SWITCH !! Smh … too bad. I won’t be spending ANY MORE money here. My waitress kept repeatedly apologising for the way her...
Read moreDo better, IHOP of Fayetteville. I would not recommend this IHOP to anyone, unless you hate friendly and inviting waitstaff.
The food was all over cooked, my daughters chocolate chip pancake looked burnt (I know what it should have looked like and that wasn't it), the appetizer dish had hard breading on the onion rings yet the onion was undercooked and the chicken strips were hard as rocks, bacon was too crispy, and the tea was way too bitter. While my daughter and boyfriend got refills, I did not, I couldn't even find the waiter to request one. Ended up finishing what we could before he showed back up to give us our check. The service was more of an "I don't like my job but need to pay bills" type. No smiles from any of the waitstaff, not a single greater anywhere, the waiter that sat us wasn't even prepared for customers, rearranging the menus and had to leave to get the silverware. While the waiter did do as my daughter asked (her smiley pancake was missing the sprinkle of chocolate chips and the cherries for the eyes), he literally asked her "You really want me to do that?". She's 7 and was completely serious. Our appetizer plate came with our meals instead of before. The girl cleaning the bathrooms took about 20-25 minutes to clean one of the small stalls. She walked in with the cleaning supplies before we even ordered and had just walked out of one stall when we went in, when my daughter asked which one was the clean one, she pointed to the one she just walked out of. While I know the bathroom is clean it shouldn't take that long for one small stall. The table closest to the bathroom was clean but there was still crayons and food under it. The atmosphere was dark and uninviting, no sign of friendlyness to be found anywhere felt more like the Adam's family worked there. Also, don't sit a fat person in a booth that obviously will not seat them comfortably, I had to push the whole bench seat back about an inch or my big ta-tas would have...
Read moreQuick wait to get seated, was told she would go and get our waitress but we were not greeted by our waitress for over 20 minutes. When the people behind us walked in and received their drinks and had put in their food order immediately before she had even come to our table at all. We were very hungry and my kids were excited for pancakes as they had never been to an iHOP before. I hadn’t been since I was a kid and was hopeful so we chose to stick it out. No drink order or anything for 20 minutes till she finally showed up by then we had our food order but she didn’t give us time to state that we were ready. She then left quickly, took awhile to get us our drinks. Brought my young kids drinks in glass cups and no lid, which is an easy mistake but was inconvenient. She was nowhere to be found for a while for us to tell her we needed kids cups. In the meantime, my child’s hand got gum stuck to it from under the table. Finally got our food, which the manager had taken over by this point thankfully. Food was cold and the hash browns were undercooked. We were so hungry, we had left for an early appointment in the morning and were so ready for food that we just chose to eat it and get out of there. I have been a waitress and I know it is such a hard job, it’s a big task to keep up with everything but unfortunately this girl is just not cut out for it. Not very friendly, I could tell she was trying and was shy, I am too and it took awhile for me to warm up to waitressing but this was awful service. Barely any words spoken from her. I observed many people around us waiting forever just to get...
