The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Ferndale

I just spent 2 hours in line at Honey Baked Ham in Ferndale. This is the day before Thanksgiving so I expected to wait to pick-up my prepaid order but when I got to the location it was total and utter chaos. Two lines winding down the block. No clear instructions for pickup, no information from the staff, and hundreds of very angry people. This was the third pickup I was doing for the day with prepaid orders all and the only one that seemed to have no organized system to process the completely foreseeable holiday rush. After two hours when I finally reached the front of the line my order was not ready (again, I had a scheduled pickup time for 4:30 pm, it was now 6:30). Employees were walking around aimlessly looking for orders to pick. I had to confirm my order three times with them even after they scanned my prepaid bar code. Ultimately I had to tell them how much I paid for my order so they could find it. It was total chaos inside with no organization and no one in-charge. I don’t blame the employees, they were clearly doing their best. However, the franchise owner and store manager clearly dropped the ball. There were little kids standing in the cold for hours with their parents. Elderly people with walkers. Wheel chair bound customers who couldn’t even enter the store. We have ordered from this location many times, mostly on holidays and usually with a 15-20 minute wait but never anything like this. I’m sure it’s a fine store not on a holiday but we will never order from this location again....

Okay, here we go. I've been a loyal customer of this location. "Honey Haked Ham" for over 15 years when (Ms.DELILAH🥰 managed this location.) And while I enjoyed Various items on the menu. I must say that my favorite was always the HAM AND CHEESE. SANDWICH With lettuce cheese, tomato onion, Mayo and most of all the POTATO SALAD WITH the MUSTARD. And I do believe it had some other chopped ingredients in it as well. Anyway, it was the BEST, yesterday I went in to get my favorite order. They no longer have that POTATO SALAD. It's just Mayo and potato BUMMER, 👎so I order the ham sandwich with extra lettuce and cheese.on Multi grain bread. The price of the sandwich was a little over $11. Anyway, getting to the POINT this sandwich was very SKIMPY. There was only 2 PIECES of HAM, VERY THIN, and on one side of my sandwich, there was hardly any LETTUCE CHEESE or HAM" IT WAS LIKE JUST MOSTLY BREAD. WHAT HAPPENED? This is NOT GOOD. The sandwich was SKIMPIE AND POORLY MADE..🤔 PLEASE BRING BACK THE COUNTRY STYLE POTATO SALAD WITH MUSTARD. AND PLEASE TRY TO BUILD A BETTER/ HARDIER SANDWICH. Although on the plus side, the store is still a beautiful, well kept establishment and the 2 ladies, I believe they were sisters. That owns the store now or manage it. We're very nice professional and courteous. They Just need to evaluate how the portions Are distributed or with my sandwich? It Was very disappointing? ...

I ordered 2 pounds of ham and 2 pounds of turkey.I prepaid and went on my lunch break to pick it up. It was faster than the walk-in line, but not more convenient because I still had to wait. The ham was fine, but the turkey was burnt. I didn't check until I got back to my job. I didn't think to check before I left because I've never had this issue before with other Honey Baked locations.

I went back up there and had to wait yet again. I asked to get a refund for the convenience fee at this point, seeing how this was a complete inconvenience. They gave it to me back in cash, and I waited for another 10 mins. When I got to my car and checked again, one package of turkey was fine, but they literally gave me back one of the same package I returned!! The first picture is in the car before return. The second pic is the "new" one they gave me, which is clearly still burnt and the same.

I didn't go back in because at this point, I'm highly annoyed and offended! I'll never come back to this location. The cashiers were nice but I don't know what they were doing...
