I’d only been to the UP location last year (and just about died when I found out they were in MI again), so when I saw this location on the way to a job interview a few months later I knew that was it. The Caribou may have influenced me into not only taking, but staying in the job more than the job did if we’re being honest. I get an espresso shaker and a random food item at least once a week and it’s the best part of my commute. Every barista is always so chipper and pleasant when I pull up, it’s enough to make me forget the harsh reality that this is no longer 2004. Give these people a medal because there’s no need for all that at 7 something in the morning, but they do it anyway with a smile and they do it well. I’ve been coming here for a few months and the worst thing I’ve ever experienced was a slightly crunchier croissant roll. I literally cannot recall a drink error ever. In fact, one time I ordered a soufflé and they gave me a raspberry scone but the scone was so good I didn’t actually notice I didn’t order it until I was almost done. I don’t know if that’s says more about me or the scone, but I wasn’t even disgruntled, I was just pleasantly surprised. I may be messy, but this Caribou never is. This coffee...
Read moreWonderful to see Caribou back in the state - I've missed it. I've been to this location 3 times since it opened - not a lot, but it's not in an area that convenient for me. The first two visits were pleasant - as noted by others, service can be a bit slow but the drinks are very good and the staff is friendly. My most recent visit, on a Sunday morning at 5:45AM, was very disappointing. Despite a posted opening of 5:30AM both online and on the store, the entire location was dark. There was someone parked in the lot and sleeping in their car, also - strange. I was meeting family there, so we had to divert to a different place. Just as I was leaving, another poor soul pulled into the drive thru to attempt to...
Read moreTried this place for the first time today as it’s a nice addition to the neighbourhood for convenience. I got a black coffee - nothing fancy. It was very good and it was hot. I ordered via drive-thru and was the only car. They asked for my name for the order which is bizarre. When it was time to pay, I got told “the machine is gonna ask you a question” - which is absurd. There was no “service” provided beyond pouring my coffee and handing it to me, which I assume is what the hourly wage should cover. It’s distasteful as I don’t even think there’s an indoor seating area. Tim Hortons and Starbucks do not stall their drive-thrus to ask customers for a tip. Suggest caribou reset their machines to remove...
