If I could give this store a negative star. This happened last month. I ordered an apple pecan salad about 8:30 PM. The cashier was also the one who made my salad. She took my order and never asked me how I was doing. I am the only one in the store and it took over 10 minutes to get my salad, plus a large chili. They never apologized for the wait, though they did explain the salad had to be made from scratch -- the base salads made earlier in the day (food prep) were all sold. OK, I'm thinking, no problem. I don't mind.
I leave the store, drive home and discover there are no blue cheese crumbles. I leave the chili at home, grab my receipt, and drive back to the store. I put myself through college working as a manager, and I work in a call center, so I know to remain calm. I told the same woman who made my salad that I was back because the order was wrong. The blue cheese crumbles really do make the salad. She never apologized. She brings out a small container of the cheese so I can add it to the incomplete salad. I knew that was bad service, so I ask for the "manager". The crew leader that showed up may have heard me but she failed to listen. She barely looked me in the eye. I asked what can the store do for me, could they comp an item? The best they could do was a soft drink. My time, my gas money, my lack of satisfaction thus far was only worth a soft drink. I filled out a survey and never heard back.
This was my 2nd bad incident at this store; a year earlier, I ordered for dine-in 30 minutes before closing. The entire staff were loud and rude, as I sat in the sun room (now remodeled) and I could hear them all the way back in the kitchen making smart-ass comments like "he needs to go." Apparently, my dining in was getting in the way of their cleaning the room. I reported that in a survey, again never heard anything back.
This store may be newly remodeled, but they have the same old attitude. Steer clear of this store. They really do not know anything about customer service, treating others with empathy, and they do not know how to...
Read moreSpoiled my appetite. Come to Wendy’s to order breakfast and when I get to the speaker to order, a truck to come clean their grease trap was there to clean it out. OMG one of the worst smells, EVER. It was hard to roll my window down to even pay for my food! This should be done at a time where they aren’t open so that customers wouldn’t have to succumb to the sick smell. I was sent to Wendy’s to pick up a mobile order, while in line I decided that I wanted some seasoned potatoes for myself, once I received my order I asked for Ghost pepper ranch (Ghost pepper ranch was in the mobile order bag free of charge) I then said, I have potatoes, why would I have to pay for it and it was free when ordered on the app? She then said that’s the way this store does it, but it didn’t make sense to me. Seems that she only got snappy with me because I asked for no ice in the mobile order drink, she made a remark under her breath and I said “It didn’t have the option on the app to remove ice, but I don’t want ice”. The whole morning experience was terrible. It’s really said to see the horrible customer service coming from someone well over 55, I expect this low tier of customer service from a young adult with no customer service experience. No to mention, my change from the ghost pepper ranch fell on the ground and I couldn’t open my door or back up to retrieve it because the guy collecting the old grease was blocking the drive thru lane. Will definitely call corporate after this and let my fellow local UAW members know that the 8 mile &...
Read moreLate at nite, busy day, decided to grab a late simple meal from Wendy's. As soon as I bit into the very cool french fry, I knew I should have dismissed the thought of eating this late. The 4 chicken nuggets were decent, the crispy chicken sandwich was the warmest of the meal but totally bland, I gave up half-way in and chucked it. The sprite was a tanny tinged color, probably started dispensing with the wrong flavor and didn't bother to correct it. I dumped the entire cup; and, mainly, because the straw I was given, wouldn't suck up the liquid from the cup. Then I remembered why I avoided going there. That meal was par for the course, whenever I visited it, which is less than once a year, and usually late after a busy day, and away long enough, that I had forgotten why I don't go there. Blame the poor food and service on the late nite... blame it on being close to closing time, and the lack luster food matched the lack luster attitude of the staff, or ...blame it on the boogie... I just know I have had fresher, hotter, tastier, late nite meals from other Wendy's and I got to start rembering which ones to visit and...
