I love, love, LOVE all the stuff from here! All the candies and ice cream are amazing, and it holds a special place in my heart especially being apart of the family and growing up having this for dessert all the time! But the one thing I absolutely hate about the online ordering and shipping is the $50-$60 shipping fee you’re charged just to ship one box of freaking chocolates!! Talk about outrageous! It’s always so good and amazing to make a stop when I go back to visit Ohio or when someone comes down to visit me and I get some candy, but ordering online? You can forget it. I’m not paying an extra $60 shipping fee just for the chocolates!! That’s ridiculous. Especially when I’m already spending a good $20-$30 just on the items I want. I really wish you guys would consider that, and/or fix it because that is way too crazy. I get chocolate and ice cream are very delicate, but nothing is ever worth paying that kind of shipping fee. I would be more than willing to buy sweets more often from you guys if I wouldn’t be paying that high of a...

If you are new to Findlay, this is the sweet shop/ice cream parlor everyone's going to tell you to go to. An absolutely beloved local institution that has been around for decades and everyone seems to have a story about how they used to come here with their dad/little league team/first serious girlfriend. It is THE sacred cow of town.

Before that seems harsh, I just want to clarify that the chocolates are good, as is the ice cream. But the absurd hyperbole that gets thrown around regarding Dietsch's is just too over the top.

Locally, it is the best ice cream in town. You can't take that away from them. The staff are quick considering how busy they get, and their menu is impressive. Prices are fair, and the ice cream has a good flavor while being a bit too heavy on the "cream" side of things. If you're looking to give gifts or show friends and family the local flavor, this is the place to go.

Loss of one star for the unwarranted proselytizing and for the the general okay-ness of...

Was visiting Findlay Ohio for a wedding, stayed at Hancock Hotel,a great hotel downtown, they put complimentary chocolate pretzels pkg on your pillow, they were so delicious that I seeked out the maker:Dietsch Brothers chocolate. Local business ,been there since the 1930s. The best chocolate pretzels I ever had, also visited there ice cream section, endless flavors, all "Real" ice cream. Awesome atmosphere and staff, has a family run feel to the shop, squeaky clean and well organized and operated.A rare find these days. They put a whole new twist to Willy Wonkas chocolate factory,it's the real thing! Multitudes of homemade candy selections. Congratulations on carrying on a great family business with pride! Was a pleasure discovery. John Durand from...

We were visiting a friend and when looking up things to do in the area this place was a must. To be voted top 3 in the country for Ice cream. We couldn't resist. I loved their set up. We all got different flavors of ice cream. It was so good! You could really taste the rich creamy homemade taste of it. Nothing like store bought ice cream. We seriously lucked out when we got there because it was empty but as we were leaving a huge line formed to get ice cream. We also tried their chocolate which was simply amazing. We had a great experience, thank you!

You have to come here if you're visiting! It's THAT good! Don't shy away from the Sundaes, either. We tried a Caramel Cashew sundae made with butter pecan ice cream, as well as a Tin Roof Sundae made with moose tracks ice cream. Both tasted out-of-this-world delicious. Not only are there tons of ice cream options, but there is also an entire half of the store dedicated to gourmet chocolates. I've yet to try a chocolate here that I didn't love-- they are all worthy of making your mouth water simply at the thought of them.

The Chocolate Covered Pretzels from Dietsch Brothers are delicious. Some of the best Chocolate Covered Pretzels I have eaten. The salty pretzel along with the chocolate covering make for a sweet treat and help me "Make Every Day a Sweet Day!". We received a few packages of the Chocolate Covered Pretzels as a gift from a customer. I have not visited a store . . . yet! I have added it a place I want to visit. There appears to be soo many treats and I hope the Cinnamon Ice Cream is available when we visit.
