So I already had many bad and annoying experiences coming in here before between the counter guy who usually works never having a smile on his face and never having just a decent respect for customers. But then EVERY time I order my drinks I get a lecture on what kind of milk I ask for. All I want is to be able to order my drink how I want. Why is that such a hard task. I know the frozen drinks are made with a milk powder but I like the actual milk to be almond or soy. And yet everytime I ask they have to argue with me. Also the last 4 times I went in to order a drink when I know they heard me and see the card that gets filled out for the drink that clearly says Almond Milk they make it with Whole milk I can watch and see them do it each time. And what was the most annoying is I was doing this before work and didn’t have time to ask to be made another. So I had made a review and expressed the frustration on here before and was offered a free drink so again I went in to get this drink I ordered a medium frozen Samoa drink with Almond milk and low and behold she made it with whole milk. I was so disappointed the one thing that can make my day now just ruins it and makes me angry. I should be able to go to a coffee shop and order a coffee and it be made right. I understand people make mistakes and things happen but this is EVERYTIME. I then called and left my number for the owner and never got a call back.
I love coffee amici coffee and all the flavors it is delicious but I’m sick of not being able to have it made how I want why offer different milk options if you won’t make them with it when asked to. I just would like whoever is the owner to fix and address this I don’t want to have to stop getting coffee here because the employees can’t just make it how I asked and with what they offer even. I don’t feel I’m asking for much and even thought it’s a small issue it’s happned so many times that now I’m nothing but angry and frustrated with the employees. Please please get this taken care of. Thank you. I also would like to note the employees who make this mistake are the older woman she has white / grey hair squally in a braid and a young man at the counter I believe his name is David I...
Read moreUpdate: My faith in this place has been restored. Overall experience over the last couple of years has been pleasant, with much friendlier staff. Hooray! I also always enjoy the gallery wall of local artists.
I've been coming to this coffee shop for years. I remember when they first opened almost 2 decades ago! Now I only stop by when I am in town to visit my dad, and I have to say I think this place has gone downhill. The coffee is still pretty good, but what used to be a welcoming atmosphere has turned into a rather uninviting experience. The last few times I have been there the staff has been pretty rude, not so much as a hello and acted like they were annoyed that I even walked in! The last lady who waited on me just looked at me and said "What do you want?" It wasn't the same person each time, ALL of the staff has treated me pretty much the same way, as if my patronage is an inconvenience to them. I would like to continue to support Coffee Amici, but if they don't get some friendlier people in there I'll take my business elsewhere. This comes from a service-industry professional with over 20 years of experience, so I know there...
Read moreThis coffee shop is interesting and not really what you'd expect from a cafe.
The shop is essentially one big room and filled with restaurant tables which doesn't exactly invoke the "cozy" atmosphere that I've come to expect and love from local coffee shops. Now, I will say that this place was intended to be more than just a coffee shop. They offer smoothies, food and have some space for live music. So I'm willing to look past some atmospheric issues here.
However, I can't say that I was very impressed with the staff. The young man who took our order was curt (not rude by any means) and just kind of felt like he didn't really want to be where he was at the time.
The house coffee was okay. I paid a couple of bucks for a small cup, so I wasn't expecting anything that was going to blow my socks off and that's certainly not what I got. It just tasted like house coffee that has been sitting in a carafe for a little while.
Overall, I can't say this place was awful, but it was nothing to write home about. It's interesting and plenty of people go in and out, so it must be enjoyed by the community. I'm just not sold...
