We decided to try Blackstone even after reading all of the comments and posts on Google. We came for Valentine's Day weekend and went all out, getting appetizers, drinks, ribeye steak meals for both my girlfriend and I, etc. The pictures look good, but the actual food was sad and amazing-ly overpriced. The atmosphere is great, they really up did it since the rack. But that's where my compliments end. The waitress was dull and acted annoyed about everything. She knew someone there, possibly family. And she used every other minute to talk to them. There were only 3 tables in use there and small groups, mostly 2-3 people per. And yet I had to ask for everything we needed; refills, napkins, a clean cup, etc. Apart from when she first sat us down. I hadn't even sat down yet and she quickly was asking us what we wanted to drink without even giving us the options or letting us look. After bringing out drinks, I noticed my cup was covered in old dried pop, when I had water. Side note: I had asked for rootbeer but they don't carry it. Who doesn't have rootbeer? Anyway I asked for a replacement cup since my cup was dirty, she didn't even say anything, just took my cup and walked away. The only thing that tasted good that we ordered was the elote dip. Beyond that the steaks were so thin. As I mentioned before, we both ordered the ribeye -the most expensive item on the menu. I want to say that each meal came to almost $30 a piece. I've had better steak from golden corral. My steak was half fat. Like an entire half was fat. I also got green beans and mashed potatoes. The green beans were also sad and thin. The potatoes tasted like they came from a box. And nothing was seasoned! I added salt and pepper but there was noooooo flavor to speak of. Everything was plain, not even just plain but everything literally tasted like nothing, apart from burnt taste and grease. My son was with us too. He had ordered the buffalo flatbread. He ate 2 pieces and didn't want it anymore. I tried it. The chicken was plain other than the weirdly drizzled sauce. The chicken was also just small pieces and no flavor; just greasy. Who is doing the cooking here? Sad. I can't remember exactly but I believed they charged us each $3.99 for like 3 mushroom slices on top of the steaks and then another $3.99 for a couple of slices of plain onion on each. That was so crazy to me. Texas Roadhouse has steaks 3x the thickness and bigger in general for cheaper and then you also get 2 delicious sides to go with it. Apart from all of that when the waitress told us "thank you, have a good day", it was the weirdest, most disingenuine, thank you, I think I've ever gotten. For 3 meals, an app and 1 drink it was over $100 before tip. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if they paid...
Β Β Β Read moreI had the ribeye sandwich (medium-rare) with added mushrooms and onions. It was seasoned phenomenally. The taste of salt and pepper was present yet not overly powerful. It fused well with the juices of the ribeye. The Ribeye it's self was tender, moist, and cooked to the medium-rare I had asked for. The portion of meat on the bun was surprisingly larger than I had expected. There was so much that I was not able to close the sandwich without eating some of the Ribeye cuts first! I was very impressed with the food and my bartender/ server Liza was lovely. She was attentive to me and the 4 other tables she had. Even though I did not have a drink I saw how she made them. Her pours from the tap were excellent. They had just the right amount of head on everyone of them she poured. Her bloody mary looked delicious and she used a generous portion of the vodka. The only thing I have an issue with is that it was too cold for me. Had I been wearing jeans and a light long sleeve shirt I would have...
