Usually love Joey’s bagels… they have the best BLT…. pretty much order it every time I eat there. I would have given 5 stars but the last two times I’ve gone to Joey’s (both locations) I had issues with service and food. I went to Joey’s in Hendo… ordered a BLT.. it was close to 2:45 they were cleaning up and closing. I ordered a BLT on sub roll.. specified just a BLT… nothing else. When I got home and opened the sandwich it had pickles, cheese, mustard, turkey and 2 slices of bacon. Joey’s was closed so I could not go back… very disappointed because there BLT is excellent. Two days later… still craving the BLT.. I called in an order to the Fletcher location.. same order, BLT on a sub roll. I went to pick up and pay for my order and was handed a bag. After the prior experience I opened the bag to check the order and it was a bagel sandwich. I politely told the cashier this is not what I ordered. The receipt had BLT on sub roll written in red. I pointed that out and was told that the red meant that that was an available option and was told that I ordered the bagel blt… I explained that I get the exact same order every time… BLT on sub roll. The cashier was adamant that I ordered the bagel BLT. I got upset at this point and told her again… I always order the same thing a BLT on sub roll. She told me I had to take the bagel BLT and pay for it. I was shocked! I asked for a manager or owner and was told there was not a manager on site… so… obviously I did not pay for the sandwich I did not order and left (without my BLT on a sub roll) As good as the food is not sure if I will go back anytime soon. Read moreSpent 35 minutes in this place and still didn’t have what I ordered. Ordered what I thought to be a simple everything bagel with bacon and American. First one comes out and is on a sesame bagel...I nicely go back in and ask for it to be remade, no problem, stuff happens. After waiting 15 minutes, one of the cooks was out in the waiting room cutting up with people (totally cool most times, but not when I’m waiting on a remake of something they screwed up)...I hear him say something like “oh this one needed to be made, I didn’t know you guys needed it”, and here comes my sandwich. This time it was cold and had cheddar instead of American. When I go back in to just ask for my money back (at this point I’m most aggravated at the fact I’ve spent so much time in a place that should be more on the quick side) the cashier asks me how much I paid for the sandwich...I didn’t choose to get a receipt the first time around and had other items, so I had no idea...she magically finds it in the system and I’m on my way. I could’ve eaten either of the sandwiches, but it’s the principle...if I’d wanted something else I would’ve ordered it and why can’t it just be made right either the first or second times. Read morePlaced an order at Joey's Bagels and before leaving, noticed that they had given me half of what I had ordered. I checked the receipt and told the staff. She tells me "let me see it" aggressively as if I was trying to get something for free, and then snatched the receipt from my hand, looked at it, acted frustrated, as if I had done something wrong. Me and my family had already waited 15 minutes for our sandwiches, which is fine, but we had to leave, so I asked for a refund on what I had not received. She told me.. no, either you take the other part of the order, or you don't get anything. So then I asked her if I can change the sandwich since they had to make it from scratch, and told me that they had limited ingredients, which she said no to as well, adding a hostile comment "you get what you ordered" which I proceeded to tell her that I didn't and that's why they are having to redo it. So they put my ticket to the back of the line, making me wait another 15 minutes while they finished the other orders. She told me they were real busy and that's why she responded and...
