I decided to try something different for the family tonight and get Popeyes. I ordered online. The website asked if I would like to pick up inside or at the takeout window. I then checked that I would pick up through the takeout window. When I got there, I went to the drive through speaker and said I had a pick up. She said that I had to come inside I couldn’t pick it up from the window so I pulled around went inside. I Really wish I had just turned around and left. The door was being held open by a broken bag of sidewalk salt that was thrown all across the sidewalk and in the entryway. When I walked into the area to pick up my order, the floors were so sticky that my flip flops were sticking. They looked like they had not been mopped in months. The chairs in the dining room were stacked on the tables. Paper was thrown all over the counter and there were “gas station” coffee cups thrown on the counter. The pop machine was out of service and had boxes of posters stacked behind it. As I approached the counter the workers just stared. One of the girls finally asked if I had an order for DoorDash. I said no I have a pickup for takeout. I assumed they hadn’t even started on it due to the pouring of what looked like online orders. She said that she needed 26 tenders. And started to prepare my order. As I was watching them prepare my order I watched the girl taking drive thru orders messing with her foot, taking her shoe off and putting paper towel inside her shoe with not once washing hands. The other girl yelled there was not more mac and cheese and if I would like a different side. I told her fries would be ok. I only saw 1 person wear gloves and that was who was cooking the chicken. The metal containers that held the sides were covered in food and were clearly not being maintained. There were what looked like gas station cups on the counter, thrown papers. The computerized menus did not work. As I was waiting for my order I was told that they were out of macaroni and cheese and to pick different sides which I had ordered 2 and there is an up charge so I’m pretty sure I paid for those which I did not get. The people that were working, there were super unprofessional and using super inappropriate language and I’m just really glad that I didn’t take my kids in there for them to hear that. One of the workers grabbed out a pan that looked like burnt caked on food that hadn’t been cleaned and walked over to one of the other coworkers and asked how do I clean this and they kept glaring at me to see if I was paying attention and said, go clean it with soap and water. One of them was Yelling at the other coworker about dropping the french fries in the dark grease. When one of the baskets of chicken was done being fried, the guy took the frying basket and threw it into one of the metal containers and didn’t take it out. It just threw it in there and left it there. Another customer walked in who had just picked up her food, but she was placing another order and as we were standing there, one of the girls started grabbing her hair and itching, her head, which prompted the other customer to check her food and make sure that it looked OK. I then said, does your food look OK and she said yeah it looks pretty appetizing And I asked if this is how it always wasn’t here and she said yes, but it looks like I actually came on a good day which was super discouraging . I did not feel comfortable to say anything because I don’t feel like they would have reacted well to what I was saying and I had already witnessed so much unprofessionalism and disgusting behavior. I just grabbed my food and left. I spent almost $80 on the food and am thankful my family or I didn’t get sick. I will never be going here again and I highly advise people to not go. I do not know how this place is still open. I have never ever seen anything like it and felt I was on candid camera or “what...
Read moreMy wife and I had never been there before so we decided to try it out. Upon arriving, we noted that the parking lot was littered with piles of garbage everywhere, which should have been our first clue. We went inside to get in line. After waiting to get to the counter and realizing there weren't paper menus and the television menu was broken, we asked the attendant for help to which they told us to Google the menu. Our phones were charging and going outside would result in us losing our spot in line, so we decided to order the items on the cardboard advertisements on the counter top. "We're out of spicy chicken" they told us. There's a wait. We decided to wait, since we had already waited a significant amount of time and we decided a little longer wouldn't kill us. Then she asked us what sides we wanted. We wanted red beans and rice but we were informed they didn't have any. We decided on coleslaw as a substitute and they said they were out of that also. We next asked for macaroni and cheese to which they said there was an upcharge. Okay fine. After about 10 minutes the attendant yelled back to the cook and asked how much longer on the spicy chicken and he replied with a bewildered look on his face "We ain't got no spicy down!" So our wait starts over... Finally we get our food and go to the car but upon searching for straws we discovered we weren't given any. We went back in only to be informed the restaurant had ran out of straws. We decided to dine in since juggling pops with lids and no straw would be difficult and possibly messy while in a car. We got our food and sat at the least dirty table we could find since they all were at least a little dirty. At that point we discovered we hadn't been given all of our food so we went back to the counter to ask for it. At this point he stated that in fact, we had been given our food and we should go check again. After the second search we went back to the counter only for him to argue with us and tell us what kind of container it had been packaged in. I pointed back by the chicken racks at a container similar to the one he described, and he turned around, checked, and found that he had, in fact, forgotten to give it to us. He laughed instead of apologizing and handed it over. Finally, we sat down to eat. At this point, we had been there about 45 minutes for our "fast food", mind you... the chicken was a bit greasy, so we went to grab napkins only to find we hadn't been given any of those either. We went to ask the attendant for some, only to be told there weren't any because they ran out. Without words, he pointed to an industrial roll of paper towel on top of the ordering counter. This roll was full of greasy fingerprint smudges and remnants of different sauces from customers grabbing the roll and tearing off what they needed. Disgusting... after we had eaten, we wanted to wash up, so we headed to the bathrooms. My wife went first. On her way in, she passed a worker coming out of the restroom, and she went inside. About 10 seconds later, she came back out with a look of disgust on her face. She told me that the lid was off the back of the toilet and it was on the ground, leaving the toilet open. The roll off toilet paper wasn't in the dispenser but on the toilet lid on the ground. There was no garbage can, only a cardboard box which was literally overflowing with garbage all over the floor. There was feces on the seat and so much scum in the sink it looked like it hadn't been washed in weeks. No soap, no paper towel... how did the worker wash in these conditions? This is how clean the staff is while they prepare your food. So they think this is okay? I feel like the manager should be fired and replaced. This should never happen, it's COMPLETELY unacceptable. Something...
Read moreIf I could make this a zero star restaurant, that’s what I would do. I ordered in the app online and chose to pick it up through the drive-through. The drive-through first of all at this Popeyes is always extremely slow. I had my kids and my dogs with me, and that’s why we decided to go through the drive-through. I waited in the drive-through for 20 minutes only for the guy to tell me that I had to come in to grab my food. I tried to explain to him that the app said, pick it up through the drive-through, and he would not listen . So I came in and the lady at the counter with the name “sweet heat” immediately told me that I was trying to skip the line, and when I told her I was just trying to show her my phone she turned her back to me and walked away and threw her hand up. So I got the attention of the guy that was working the drive-through to try and show him my phone and he said he did not care because he was being told different. So I waited with the DoorDash guy that was there to pick up an order as well. He was also told that he had to wait in line. DoorDash doesn’t work that way. Meanwhile another DoorDash lady came in and waited at the counter, and no one acknowledged her . She finally came over to me and asked me if I was DoorDash. I explained to her the situation. She waited another five minutes and told me that the order was supposed to be picked up five minutes before she even got there. Finally, she threw her hands up in the air and walked out. If I had already paid for my food, I would’ve walked out too. Let’s go back to the drive-through one more time. The potholes are so bad that all four of the tires on your car are sunk down in them at the same time. While I was sitting in the restaurant, I commented on my online order and Popeyes reached right back out to me via email offering me five dollars for my inconvenience. Of course I answered them. What a joke this is how you treat your customers offering them five dollars for this kind of service? So a couple days later I heard Back from them again and they gave me a full refund for my $15 that I spent. Woo hoo they refunded me. This still does not make up for the fact that they treat the customers this poorly. It’s the only Popeyes around here so they do get business . But this franchisee obviously does not care about anything but money because he doesn’t train his people properly and doesn’t maintain the property the way that it should be. There’s a Chick-fil-A right down the road and hopefully they put this Popeyes franchise on Miller Rd out of business because they don’t deserve to be there . I did wait quite a few days to see if anything else came out of this or if I heard back from the franchisee that they said they were going to notify. I did not so here’s your Google review guys. You can also check my Google review for the Jimmy John’s on Linden Road and what a fantastic job they did! I don’t only post bad reviews and I would rather post good reviews and help people...
