Sophia Coffee — Restaurant in Flomaton

This is a hidden gem in the town of Flomaton, Alabama, just a minute of highway 29, and a must stop for anyone heading into Pensacola or to I-65! The shop is local and family owned and the coffee is small batch roasted in house and prepared at the highest of standards. I have stopped by twice now on trips and have been thrilled with the high quality and dedication of the staff. The pour over I purchased was done right and I could taste so many excellent flavours and nuances in the coffee. We also purchased a Caramel iced latte and Mocha which my family said were of the highest quality. Best coffee I've had in YEARS! The butter pecan latte was so smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. Even the sugar-free coffee was very good.

The tea selection is exceptionally sophisticated. My jasmine green tea was brewed well to highlight the floral fruitiness. No burnt tea here. I'd love an iced variety, but I understand it would take too long to make. However, you can always purchase a box of tea sachets in-store.

The store is very clean and peaceful, the ladies working were super nice, and they make delicious drinks. Way to bring society to Flomaton! I'll be back any chance I get....

My friend and I are from out of town and we came in because it’s her sons birthday who passed away and every year we go get coffee together, we walked in and loved it….until we didn’t. She ordered a coffee and the milk choice was one that she usually doesn’t get but decided to try it, she ended up not being able to drink it and the girls working there would not replace it and expected her to buy a whole brand new drink.
