Goody Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Florence

I patronize this establishment for years. Only on a couple occasions did I have a complaint such as long delivery time, cold food and or food not fresh. But, this past week my experience was inexcusable and disheartening. That a restaurant you have spent your money with for years wouldn't exchange a order that contained items that weren't told to you when you specifically called and asked for details prior to coming. Then the dish had a spoiled ingredient and it was not up to par for 14.00 spent. Was told that they understood I brought the food before closing and couldn't report. But when I explained I left for a Doctor's appointment in Charleston at 7:45 and was just returning that evening but had the food to return in tact , abruptly the hell broke loose. Because you didn't call first thing today and we don't exchange or reimburse . I politely told them my business will discontinue and the proper authorities would be contacted for sour food. You spend Your Money with these establishments for years with no respect or honor for...

Our Amtrak AutoTrain to Virginia was stuck outside Charleston, SC overnight due to frozen signals. After more than 16 hours of sitting still we were finally on our way to Florence, SC. Amtrak was running out of food. The "beef stew" Amtrak was offering for dinner did not seem very appealing. A group of us in the lounge car decided to see if we could place a phone order to a restaurant in Florence and have it delivered to the Amtrak station upon our arrival. Since we only had 20 minutes til our arrival in Florence and only about a 15 minute layover, we were pressed for time. I phoned Goody's and they were up to the challenge of delivering food for 18+ people aboard the train. The amazing delivery woman made it to the station with 5 minutes to spare! Needless to say, we were all so thankful and can not thank Goody's enough for rushing the order to us and providing us all such a delicious meal! ...

Goody Chinese Restaurant exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every detail was perfect.

The food? Simply amazing! Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavors. The Kung Pao Chicken was perfectly spiced, the dumplings were melt-in-your-mouth good, and the sweet and sour pork had the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or a special night out, Goody Chinese is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes....
