This has made my Don't Miss List. What an awesome place. We had such a great lunch today. As soon as we walked in we felt welcome and comfortable. We started with the fried deviled eggs. Yes, you read that correctly. My husband instantly said it's his new favorite thing. Such comfort food. And speaking of comfort food, I had the Hangover. A deep fried monstrous grilled cheese and a bowl of the most tasty tomato basil soup. Wow! Just wow! The only way I could have been more comforted was if I was at my grandma's watching Price is Right on a "sick" day. My husband went for the Not Your Mommy's Pastrami sandwhich and onion rings. Delicious! We spent 5 minutes just talking about the incredible batter on those rings! Never quite had it before and don't think onion rings will be the same for us anywhere else now. The entire time we were seated it was all I could do.but stare at the beautiful cupcakes in the display case. They were gently reminding me to save room for 1 of them. After watching so many people come in and get these gorgeous little gems, I got nervous and had our awesome server pack some up before we missed out on them. We love this restaurant. Owners Chad and his Wife sure know how to cook up some delicious eats!!!! We had the Philly Cheesesteak, Smash Hamburger, Fried Okra, French Fries & Onion Rings. Each side dish had its own unique flavors. The batter on the rings is just incredible. The crunchy batter on the okra is just devine & the fries are seasoned to perfection!!!!! The serving sizes are awesome. For dessert we had the Banana Pudding, boy howdy was that the best we have ever had. Everything tasted amazing. Highly recommend that Tanji with Good Eats needs to come down to Florence to check this place out. The restaurant decor gives you that down home feeling.
