I stopped by wok n roll on a Friday night and I ordered the black pepper chicken and veggie lo mein with a spring roll and a coke. The total was 15 bucks. I was very disappointed after I got home, and disgusted so much I just threw it away. The chicken in every bite I took out of three was nothing but what seemed like the fat and knuckles we trim off of chicken before we cook it. I didn't see any signs of black pepper and I thought maybe I had got the wrong order so I looked it up on their website and the picture looks like what I got. The scrap pieces of chicken were battered in what looks like red pepper not black pepper. It tasted bland and if it wasn't for the onion's it wouldn't have had any flavor at all. Gave me the impression that it was the trimmings from the prep of the chicken that had some corn starch thrown on it and cooked in the general Taos sauce, or possible general Taos chopped up with some onions. I don't order general Taos chicken because it always seems like it is more batter than chicken. Even the spring roll had a funky taste that the mustard wouldn't cover up kinda like old grease or something. Anyway I felt like I was ripped off of my money and sold something that resembled general Taos sauce that even a dog has more protein in their dog food. I tried it and I just won't be back. When it comes to food you get one shot for a first impression with me. The staff was very polite and I didn't have...
Read moreI just tried Work n roll for the first time and they were Super rude 😒. I pulled up and read over the menu asked a question and had to guess the answer cuz I couldn't make out what the lady was saying because the speaker or something was messed up n she sounded distorted. She acted annoyed cuz I asked her to repeat herself a couple of times. Someone pulled up behind me so I quickly picked something and ordered. I pulled up to the window n realized I was short a dollar n some change so I was going to ask her to take something off (I know shoot me now) well clearly annoyed she had me wait for a good while before she came to the window n took my money the acted pissed off n slammed the window when I asked her to take something off, called her manager n told her n I could hear her manager yelling n huffing n puffing about how it's already been made (which probably wouldn't have been had she came to the window when I pulled up instead of standing around looking mad) she then opened the window I apologized n she just glared at me n ignored my apology. I didn't know I could ruin someone's day by taking the time to read their menu. Lord forgive me she was so mad she had someone else hand me my food while she just looked from the background. Other then that the...
Read moreThis Place has only one thing going wonderfully for and thats the Yum yum sauce. One owner cant speak English but he is quietly kind. The other owner is a truly bitter and loud critical Lady who just cabt stand the idea of either remaking one lunch size plate after it was wrong item-i brought it back with most of the food in there-and with a receipt. However-I came back 3 days after and that was too late. No offer of refund-no replacement with smaller portion and i know she was raising her voice so loud to see if other customers would agree. I looked around and they were either shocked at her reaction or curious at what i was returning. So now i just go to The Rice Box or Peacock Express but i sure miss that new sauce. I let folks know on social media, i dont name names but i am specific with receipts and even the returned food jist to make sure I am being fair. I wont be back in there and as i tell my local folks in the Florence, and surrounding communities, i have met a few who rude and loud behavior mor honoring a mistake has occurred often. Maybe a written letter with others signatures to Better Business Bureau would...
