Please avoid, this establishment is a fraud that will try to steal your hard earned money any time they can. First time we went there we were overcharged by about $10 on a $39 dollar bill. They, reluctantly, adjusted the bill when we pointed this out. The second time we went there again the lady tried to overcharge us. After we pointed out the âmistakeâ she adjusted the price. She then took our credit card and disappeared with it for quite a while. She came back finally with our bill to sign. We duly signed it and left home. When we got home we got alert from our credit card company showing two charges from Aldas diner. One charge was a correct charge for our meal, the second charge was a fraudulent $12 charge.
This is truly very disheartening. You go to restaurant to have nice food, try to be a loyal client and get robbed at the end. The owners should be in prison â theft is a felony crime of third degree in the State of Florida punishable with up to 5 years in prison. Very sad.
UPDATE November 22nd: today we noticed another fraudulent charge on our credit card from Alda's Diner for $48.86, that was charged yesterday. We were not even close to that fraudulent establishment yesterday. At this point this is going to authorities. Incredible.
UPDATE: November 23rd, after ownerâs response: Everything I said in my review is 100% true and correct and reflects our true experience with this establishment. I am working with my credit card company currently to reverse the fraudulent charges. We also have copy of all receipts too; the original receipts showing wrong charge when they tried to overcharge us and charged us more than what our meal was, and the adjusted receipts, as well as charges from our credit card company, and with that evidence I am looking forward to seeing the owners in court, as they...
Read moreThe food average. My biggest gripe is being nickel and dimed for things that should be included, and quality control of what leaves the kitchen. I ordered a simple breakfast of corned beef hash and eggs with multigrain toast and a cup of coffee. The eggs were suppose to be over easy and one of the two eggs came out with a broke yolk well done and only one slice of toast on the plate. The order also came with a side of fruit, the sliced cantaloupe had seeds and fiber still stuck to it which if youâre serving fruit that needs to be cleaned properly itâs not up to the customer to do that in order to eat it. I asked the waiter for another egg the way I ordered it and another slice of toast, which he gladly brought me. The bill came and I was charged for the additional toast with a .50 up charge twice for ordering multigrain with a total of over $18. For breakfast at a diner. I promise you I am not cheap and it has nothing to do with the cost itâs all about principal. Every other diner or breakfast restaurant Iâve been to you get two slices of bread with your eggs and youâre not charge extra for different types of toast, which by the way is not listed on the menu. I just think you can do better. The cook shouldâve never sent out eggs that were not properly prepared and the prep workers needs to properly clean produce before serving it...
Read moreâZER0â Super bowl party. Wings were nasty. HARD black bloody chunks within almost every wing. Taste soo damn horrible. They inform its only appetizer buffet but had absolute minimal appetizer selection. If i wanted to eat crackers and cheese id stay home. Told 35 when walk in and after pay upfront they come back at end with, i know you paid this much but forgot about taxes. So in reality 40$ to not be able to listen to the game. And not enjoy a single thing. Horrible. Will never come here again. Bartender was grabbing wings bare handed while everyone else had to use tongs. 8 "big" tvs. There are 9 small/lflat screen smart tvs. Not big. And apparently they cant count.?
Update. Nasty food made me sick as hell. Bathroom nonstop.
