if i could leave no stars i would! New Owner is very Unprofessional. had lunch with my fiance first what he originally ordered was no longer going to be on the menu so they didn't have all the ingredients no big deal he ordered a cheese burger cooked well done. our food took a total of 30 plus minutes to arrive mind there where only maybe 6 people in the entire restaurant including us. when the food arrived he took one bite of the burger and made a face and immediately spit it out. he said something doesn't taste right that burger taste spoiled. we called over our server who was very accommodating with great service and explained to her that we didn't want anything else they could take the burger off and i would pay for the rest of our tab and go, she took the burger away and went and talked to the manager who said "he was NOT taking the burger off the food was already made and brought out so that would be a waste of food and we had to pay for it. i asked to speak to the manager myself he came out and proceed to ask "what my problem was that according to his cook the burger was fine and he was not taking it off the bill. i gladly explained to him that i was not paying for the burger that was spoiled and i would pay for the rest of my tab and be on my way. i feel bad for this place and the business with this new type of owner things will...

Upon entering we were a bit apprehensive but in the end, we found The Blue Monkey to be a pleasant surprise. The menu is extensive which made choices a bit difficult. We decided to start by trying the wings; a good decision. A combination of the "mild" buffalo and garlic sauces produced some very enjoyable wings. For dipping, we requested and received nice size portions of both blue cheese and ranch dressing.

There were three of us and we ordered the fish and chips (Friday night's special), fried shrimp and the bacon and egg cheeseburger; we all ended up tasting and sharing. The four generous pieces of fish were also very tasty and at $8.99, a real bargain. The portion of shrimp was equally generous and the quality was as good as it gets in a sports bar. I had the burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. The combination of the egg and tomato created a great flavor. We also added a right sized Caesar salad for just a $1.00. Our waitress was very attentive and accommodating and I would rate the service above average.

We arrived somewhat late (8:30) and the band started at 9:00. I am of the older generation; so, while I enjoyed the music any thought of conversation pretty much died at 9:00. It must not have been too bad as we did stay for a drink after dinner.

Have enjoyed the Blue Monkey for 10 years at least once a month and almost always go there on Friday nights. Very good food and really good service with fun servers. Occasionally order take out and did so yesterday and what a disappointment in service. Have so many take out places recognize my number on take out and say hello and call me by name. Last night you have a fairly emotionless server take my order and she completes it with you are having a lot no-shows on take out lately and wants me to pay right now......huh?? really?? Thanks for lumping me into the low-lifes of the planet. I refused and advised how long I have been a customer. When I get there she is now Ms. Unhappy with me and I do not recognize her from Friday nights. Anyway food (Carbonara and Wings) was great like normal. Too many folks looking for an excuse to be offended these days and I don't consider myself in that crowd. Will still look forward to still being there Friday nights.
