Just home from Valentines dinner at the Chefās Table. An offshoot of the Amiciās restaurant/bakery/wine cellar row in Melbourne (Suntree), it is advertised as an NY style steak house. We have eaten at Amiciās Italian restaurant several times since moving here from New York last year. Best Italian food we have found so far. Tonight, was the first time we tried the Chefās table. We started with an appetizer of U-10 Scallops over pureed sweet potato. The scallops were done perfectly, like butter. The roasted nut topping also was over the top. I am not a sweet potato fan, but the wife said they were outstanding. We followed that with a steak/lobster dinner for two. A 32 oz. Prime Long-bone Ribeye with two 8 oz Lobster tails. Lobsters were cooked perfectly with a browned butter dip. The steak was done correctly (medium to medium rare) and melted in your mouth. Not too much spice which I appreciated as the point of any prime steak is the steak. We accompanied that with a side of creamed spinach which was good but, in my opinion, a little under spiced (more garlic/salt needed). We finished with dessert of mascarpone stuffed ravioli and fruit compote. Excellent. Owners/managers stopped by several times to ask how our meal was As good as any NY Steak House we have eaten at (of course with NY prices). My hat is off to the Chef āJeffā (excellent work) and our server Mark (professionalism demonstrated throughout the meal). JB (J&W 77)

My prior review from 2016 seems to have been deleted for some reason so I'm posting a new one. Amici's has a private room there and we booked it for my rehearsal dinner. We paid the deposit, worked with the restaurant to make the menus, were assured we'd have the private room to ourselves, and planned to be rowdy and have fun. We got there 10 minutes before our scheduled time, private room was completely packed with normal diners. We asked for the manager and they claimed that we never scheduled a date or paid the deposit. All this despite having our custom menus ready for us as soon as we walked in. We had to wait 45 minutes to start getting sat and we were "assured" that no further tables would be sat in the private room. That was a bold faced lie as they almost immediately started seating new tables once our group was sat. I overheard a nearby table complaining about how loud we were being and their server told them "I apologize but they just showed up and are being obnoxious." We weren't, we were just trying to talk cuz... Rehearsal dinner... My bride to be was the very last person to be served her dinner out of our group, and our whole table obviously waited to eat until she had her food. All of ours was cold by then. When my mom - who bless her heart was the person trying to make heads or tails of what the heck was happening - asked to talk to the owners they gave us the same excuse of "we never scheduled a date." When my mom pointed out our custom menus had our name and date on them, they then changed their tune to "Oh, we fired the events manager who booked this and I guess we forgot to write it in the books." That doesn't explain why they decided to keep sitting tables in our "private" room. What did they offer to make this all right? A single bottle of wine. No discount, nothing but a single bottle of wine. I'll never not tell people asking about big private events to avoid them like the plague.

Had dinner here on June 30th. We got there what we thought would be early for dinner (before 6pm) The place was packed and we waited about 20 minutes or so to be seated. Now we know why it was so packed, the food was very good. Atmosphere is not the greatest. Very crowded seating, very dark inside⦠even watched servers going in between hostess stand and patrons sitting waiting for a table. Very tight cramped feeling. Table clothes are black ,servers wearing all black, just added to the dreary dark feeling⦠But⦠the food and service were very good. My husband said the tiramisu was dry though, other than that we enjoyed everything else we had. Bread was delicious, fresh and hot, loved the dipping oil. Nice big portions of food, we took it home for a second meal each of us. Chianti was also very good. Prices, yes - a bit on the higher side and many restaurants are charging a surcharge for using a credit card, so that didnāt surprise us. Higher price was fine too as it was very good, and we both got two meals out of it. We would definitely go back, wish we had tried this place sooner. Pictured is my meal - Melanzane di Amici Want to try their pizza, it smelled amazing.

The inside of the restaurant is set up very up scale like and comfortable. There is a full Italian menu along with daily specials and really good appetizers. We started off with the mozzarella balls drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette. We were served by Patrick, who did an awesome job the whole night we were there. He was very knowledgeable on the menu items and kept them drinks coming. He was nice enough to pose for a picture with the pizza when it came. The pizza pie is a crown jewel that I experienced here. The dough was masterfully cooked where it is crispy on the bottom and soft throughout. The pepperoni and Italian sausage were of high end quality. The mozzarella cheese used was perfectly melted with the sauce that is a homemade blend made fresh daily. The person who made this pizza has mastered the temperature of his oven and shows reverence to not only taste but in presentation as well. This place is a TOP PIZZA CONTENDER in my reviews. Great place to take family and friends, however plan to wait at least 45 minutes to an hour to sit inside on the weekends because it's a very popular place.

I along with a date went to Amici's Chef Table last night. The food was medicore at best. I feel bad for the waiter as she was very good. My major disappointment was when I received the check a SURCHARGE was present on the bill for use of a credited card. I was not happy for a is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant to charge a surcharge. The bill was over $200 for two people (prices are $$$$) and II can tell you I will never go back to Amici's as this nothing more than nickel and dime tactics that I would expect from a breakfast restaurant. I asked if they had a sign stating that they charge a surcharge, well they do. It is located on the right side of the entrance door about 6 1/2 feet high and in almost subtle colors where you can barely make it out in the dark. See the attached photo. Bottom line, save your money go to Don's, the Dove, or Chart House if you don't want to be "nickel and dime'd" like this place. Very sad that they need do this when they are charging fairly high prices.

Somewhere between Fazolis and Olive Garden. Don't be deceived like we were. From the online pics, this place appears to be a gourmet scratch restaurant. Tonight the manager watched our stoned server struggle through our 2.5 hour meal for a party of 11. We went for a birthday party tonight expecting steak and lobster ravioli, instead we were served this. Nothing is fresh, not sure there is even a chef in the house. Grated cheese or pepper? Nope. This must be Sysco's lowest tier. Almost three hours for dinner, with no appetizers is unacceptable, even on a Saturday night. There was not one word or smile from management. After seeing my salad, I ordered a side of meatballs. They never came, just like my 1st glass is wine. Nothing like leaving a restaurant after spending $85 and still being hungry. Oh, but we did catch an extra glass of wine on our bill before we gave her our card. Don't worry the server gave us cash for that. š¤Æ
