I just want to preface this with the fact that I used to be a server just less than a year ago. So I know how things go. To start with it was so slow that my server Lexi only had two tables and like two people at the bar. To start she took forever to get to me and my girlfriend. We are both 22, I think this is important to mention. When she finally did make it too us i saw that shes expecting a baby pretty soon so I let the wait slide because she was pregnant.
She took our drink order and was very nice, i ordered an adult bevarge (alos want to mention that cocktails are like 16 bucks here). She came back to take our order without my drink, no biggie. I asked for fries instead of refried beans with my meal and i got told it would be an $1.25 upcharge. Which is really weird for fries. Either way I told her to just do it and add the $1.25. Now this is the part where my age comes into play. Right after she left our table she went straight to these two middle aged mens table. Without putting our order in. At first it didnt even register in my head that she didnt put our order in. Until it had been around 10 minutes of her sitting there talking to the other customer about random things. This was all right in front of us like 3 feet away. It felt very disrrespectful and like she just assumed we wouldnt tip just because we are younger. Also keep in mind this is while im still waiting for my cocktail. I ended up giving up on the cocktail, until she brought it out 30 min later.
The food itself was okay. Nothing great, which is a bummer because this place is very expensive compared to other resurants just like this that offer better food. We ended up getting our check and i noticed the $1.25 up charge, except it wasnt for fries. It said "papas" which i looked up are little fried balls filled with sausage. So I really feel like she lied about the upcharge just to rack the tab up a little bit. She also didmt take off the drink even though i waited 30 min for it.
Im really bothered by all this. Yes younger people do tip less.....IF YOU DONT ACTUALLY DO YOUR JOB AND TAKE CARE OF THEM. I just moved into wildlife and was looking for a good mexican resurant to frequently eat at close to home. It...
Read moreZero service. This was our first time going here, so I have no previous experience to compare it to. I don’t usually write reviews, much less negative ones, but this was truly an outstanding experience, in that it was so terrible. I’ve been in the restaurant business for many years and like to give people the benefit of the doubt; I understand that sometimes there are “off” nights. I’m also not one to walk into a restaurant at the last minute out of sheer courtesy for the staff. So I hope you can understand our disappointment at arriving an hour and 15 minutes before closing, to find a staff member sitting on a bench near the hostess stand who simply looked at us, got up and walked away without a single word. A few moments later, what I’m guessing was a hostess with a nose ring, walked up with an annoyed look on her face, held up 3 fingers (again no verbal communication, no smile, nothing), grabbed 3 menus and at the point, were told to follow her. We sat down, the person that had gotten up from the bench brought us chips and salsa - again, no words, no “someone will be right with you” or even a “you’re welcome” to our “thank you”. We sat there for 15-20 minutes as 5 or 6 servers walked past us (a couple of them, more than once) not a single one of them ever said a word or made any attempt to check on us and in a restaurant that wasn’t that busy, it really stands out. It equated to “we’re hoping to go home early and maybe if we ignore you long enough, you’ll just leave.” Which is exactly what we did (with again, no words from your staff). I hope this is not the norm. On the bright side, the chips and salsa were ok. The menu looked and sounded good; unfortunately, we’ll never know and definitely aren’t...
Read moreUpdate October 16th 2025 it's been 3 years since our first visit and we decided to give it another try. We so so want to like this place but it's not in the cards! They were not very busy it was about 1:00 on a Thursday afternoon. We were seated immediately but it was quite some time before a server came over and took our drink order and brought menus. We ordered and it took what seemed like in eternity for our food to come out. My wife had the veggie quesadilla, it was okay at least it was hot. Presentation was lacking in that the pieces of quesadilla were stacked on top of each other and it was pretty runny and pretty cheesy so it looked like a blob on the plate. The rice was cold, and the little salad with the guacamole sour cream and pico was attractive. I had the chimichanga which seemed like a soggy burrito with cheese on top, I have never had a chimichanga that was not fried maybe they missed that step but that's okay cuz the filling was cold. It was beef and barely warm the rice was not even barely warm. I did like the Mexican salad with the pico guac and sour cream it was tasty. The rest of it not so much. Once the waiter dropped off our cold food we never saw him again until it was time for the check. My tea ran out we didn't get any hot sauce. So based on our most recent visit they are off the list! They probably won't get another chance. 38 bucks will buy a lot of Taco Bell.
Expectations were high, it was very nice inside clean and well laid out staff was friendly and helpful food was okay, definitely had a lot worse but it wasn't bad. It did seem a little pricey but the portions were big. We might try it again just to try a different menu item but...
