This is a truly hidden gem! Came with my boyfriend for lunch to try their Pan con Minuta. I was immediately surprised by how spacious the interior was compared to what the outside looks like. They also have a fresh fish market inside but I noticed that most patrons were enjoying a seafood lunch here.
We started with four croquetas (2 salted cod, 2 cod) that were pretty tasty and larger than most places. The only reason I don't rave about them is because the filling was a little gooey/doughy for my taste and tasted a little of flour rather than the fish. This was no matter though considering our meals. My pan con minuta came out fresh and hot for only $7.99. The bread was delicious, the vegetables fresh, and the house made sauce a perfect combo with my fish sandwich. My boyfriend got the Ceviche which was absolutely amazing, made with Corvina, and probably up there in the top ceviches I've ever tried. It wasn't your stereotypical Peruvian Ceviche but had more of a Spanish (Spain) flair with olive oil included and an assortment of refreshing herbs. It was served with tasty tostones that were perfect to scoop your fish up with----I would highly recommend this especially for only $8.99!
Would back to try...
Read moreI had good luck in selecting Bahia Honda Fish Market & Restaurant for dinner near a hotel I was staying at 2 weeks ago. Three of us arrived at ~6:30 on a Tuesday. To say we had a great dinner was an understatement. We had the choice of having any fish in the market display cases prepared any number of ways. The fish is SO fresh and the preparation of each was fantastic. One of the options for a side is mashed potatoes. You could think “how good can mashed potatoes be”? They are made from Asian potatoes which are yam-like and are to die for. There are plenty of wines to choose from including half bottles, all reasonably priced. I started this review by saying I had good luck. It was great luck as the restaurant dinner hours started the day before we dined there. At the time of this review, the restaurant closes at 8pm so make sure to get there in time. Don’t waste any time-get there now if you like great fish! Also, the people who work there are the...

1)Service: Service was great! You get greeted as soon as you walk in. The waitress was very nice and attentive.
2)Food: Not much to choose from the menu. I tried the fish amd shrimp ceviche and I couldn't taste the lemon, It had alot of olive oil and did not taste good. We also ordered fried fish. Although they were quite large they were very expensive ($106 for two yellow tail snappers). Did not like the taste, very plain and also didn't seemed to be deep fried because the tail was undercooked.
