Positive review changed since it was sold. I am extremely disappointed. I left a 5 star review previously when the original owner was always there. There seems to be a new crew there and was charged $10 for one drumstick, a 1/4 potato and some rice and gravy. I can’t find any reason to go back even after I used to go there 2 to 3 times a week for lunch . So unfortunate. So - I went back. My fault. I got some roast pork and it was dry, cold and fatty. Another $10 wasted. I wont be back.

Stopped here on my drive from Fort Myers. I was looking for a restaurant that local. This place caught my eye. Ordered the Cuban sandwich, Yucca Fries, fried plantains, Sugar Cane drink (guarapo) and a coffee for the road. Behind my seat is the Bodega Meat & Produce Market. I’d come back in a heart beat if it wasn’t for the distance.

I actually had to get my money back on DoorDash because the empanadas were filled with air and no meat and greasy.The beef was so mushy and the chicken was OK form what I could taste. A big shell with no meat. The platains were very greasy. I probably won’t be ordering from here again now.

Bodega at 4007 Tamiami Trl.

Being florida born and raised and never having been to states with "traditional bodegas" I was unsure when uber eats suggested this as a place for food but we did it anyway.

We both ordered a cuban sandwich, yucca fries, and a guava cream cheese pastry disc.

I've been looking for the best cuban in Port Charlotte since we moved here and so far it was Casa Rojas but Bodega is IT.

The meat was tender and literally falling out of the sandwich with the perfect sauce and pickle ratio. The pulled pork chunks were absolutely delicious and the bread was crispy and nothing was overly salty.

Yucca fries were super crispy in the outside with fluffy insides that made it hard not to keep eating more but yucca is SO filling so I had to stop 😂

The guava cream cheese disc has a bite taken out of it and is in the fridge with the other half of the huge sandwich for tomorrow. Warm creamy gooey and sweet but not overly so.

We cannot wait to physically visit this store and are so excited to...

Stopped in yesterday to check out the WELCOME new addition to Port Charlotte.
