I just moved to the area and was looking for some place to do Kareoke, so family of 6 came for dinner/Kareoke night. Starting with a good note, The waitress we had was fantastic. Great customer service. So, props to her. We were trying to find a seat near where they had Kareoke but it was a littl busy at first so we grabbed a table in the back near the entrance. The food was sub par, I did enjoy the Alligator Bites, that is def something to go for for apps, family ordererd alot of apps, the bites stood out to me the most.
Now, the issue we had was the Kareoke. At first the first round of people managed to go through fine, but the problem was there was a group of people that were like sitting in the front/center high top. And it looked pretty obvious that the DJ was prioritizing that section because one guy in particular (he had a great voice for sure) but he went up four times, once in the early beginning then had two duets and sang again by himself. The group had multiple times to go up to sing. Several people at that table had a chance to sing at least 3 times. My group waited for an hr and a half for some of my people. I had one song in the beginning around 7:30, then roughly about 7:45 I went up to request songs for my family (they doubed me as the person to do their bidding). So we waited....
And waited. I knew we were going to wait a little bit, but not an hr and a half and observing another table getting prefered treatment.
So after the same guy sang his fourth song, we left.
I understand that they may be regulars, but for someone who is knew to area to experience your establishment for the first and noticing that the DJ wasnt doing right with the rotation list, doesnt seem to turn in your favor.
Please be mindful in the future that its not fair for one person the go over and over again. There are other people who would like a turn.
My sister, aunt, and dad didnt get the chance to sing at all, when we put their request in at 7:45, and it was about 9:30 by the time we have had...
Read moreWent for wing special. Waitress was noticeable on “something” as she was ALL OVER the place. She couldn’t focus on one table at a time. She said she was going to get us menus, but brought them to another table that sat down after ya. She shortly realized this and brought us menus. Our food took for ever, when boneless wings general come out pretty quick - I think she forgot to get the food. We watched her go to another table with our food and let the person at that table touch our food after she lifted the top cover off the wings. She then brought the tray over to our table and I asked her why she even went to the other table with our food, and let someone else touch the sauce container that was inside. She got very defensive and stormed off with the tray. When the manager came over I explained what happened and mentioned I was pregnant and not drinking, therefore I can attest I saw what happened with my own 2 eyes on a SOBER note. The waitress snidely says “36 weeks pregnant and at a bar”. … what?!? I was at a table, not the bar and I was there to eat. Who the hell says something like that?? Sadly, after a few years of going, we won’t be returning. The manager didn’t even apologize, even after hearing her snide comment to me, but instead backed her up with excuses
Erin the bartender is amazing. One of the best there. We...
Read moreBeen in the area for 8 years and finally decided to try Gators. Keep in mind I went there for lunch so some comments may be particular to that time. Atmosphere wise, there really isn't any. Not speaking of the customers but the decor et al. Just a bar. And on the patio you get the glorious view and noise of a frontage road and traffic on HWY 41. As for the customers, a lot of regulars. That was one of the issues as during lunch, service was very slow and the regulars got better service. I understand. By 1:00 the place started to thin out so extra staff is only needed for a short time making it hard to justify paying another bartender. So during peak lunch hour expect slow service. Saw one customer at the bar walk out after not getting attention for at least 15 minutes. As for the food, nothing special. Had a burger, fries, and wings as I wanted to try a few items. My medium rare burger was well beyond that and dry. Fries were really good. Wings? Nah. Nothing special. Chewy. And loaded with WAAAAAAY too much sauce. I also asked for hot and frankly I've had mild wings with more heat. And it was obviously just Franks hot sauce with zero added spices. I don't get people liking Franks. It's very mediocre, borderline bad. I wouldn't say no if a group I was with wanted to go there, but unlikely to go back if it's my choice as there's...
